No subscription, no clutter — honest moments, captured in seconds. Now free & open source. Your pulse, your day, your journal. Pulse is intentionally kept lean: no subscription, no cluttered interface — just you, a moment, and an honest read on how you're actually doing. Free and open source. HOW IT WORKS • Capture moments: a short thought, a rating from −2 (bad) to +2 (good), optional tags and location. Done in seconds. • Reflect on your day: one sentence of forecast in the morning, the summary in the evening — with your own metrics like sleep, deep work, exercise, or family time. Stoic reflection questions get you started. • Discover patterns: daily, weekly, and monthly views show you what lifts you up — and what doesn't. Filter by a single tag to look at one area of your life on its own. Good days have reasons. • AI coach: on request, Apple Intelligence analyzes your entries and surfaces insights about your patterns — running entirely on your iPhone, no cloud. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Everything lives on your iPhone and in your private iCloud. No tracking, no ads, no accounts. The full source code is public on GitHub. Export to JSON anytime. WHO IS PULSE FOR? For everyone who has failed at classic journaling: no long entries, no pressure, no streak guilt. A micro-journal that fits your life — not the other way around. Questions or ideas? Pulse is actively developed — your feedback shapes the roadmap.

Version 2.4 turns the journal into a bracket around your day: a look ahead in the morning, the reckoning at night. MORNING FORECAST What might be hard today? One sentence is enough. Name it in advance and it won't catch you off guard. STOIC REFLECTION QUESTIONS Three evening questions that get further than "how was your day?" — about the roles you filled, about what was never in your control, and about the one thing you'll do differently tomorrow. Tap to move to the next one. FILTER BY TAG Pick a tag and the whole timeline recomputes: only moments from that part of your life, with their own daily averages. See what "work" or "family" is actually doing to your days. DAY, WEEK, MONTH — ONE TAP A single toolbar button cycles through all three views. Show or hide empty days, and sort moments by time ascending or descending. NO MORE GAPS Missing days are filled in automatically, even after a long break. Your timeline stays continuous — nothing to backfill by hand. A CLEANER SURFACE Redesigned moment cards with time and rating at a glance, better legibility over any background image, calmer scrolling, and a score badge that picks its own text color to stay readable on every shade. Pulse 2.4 is built entirely on iOS 26 and tested for iOS 27.
