Understanding your emotions can take time, effort and, most of all, patience. With its learning-by-feeling approach and snackable lessons, Ahead: Emotions Coach teaches you to manage emotional thought patterns, so you can feel clear-headed when life throws you a curveball.
What we love: The personalised journeys that Ahead sends you on. In digestible and motivating courses, you learn to approach your feelings with kindness. You can work through anger, a lack of confidence, issues with productivity and more. Each journey consists of multiple levels containing short sessions, which help you to implement the tools and techniques you’ve learnt.

Quick tip: The app’s self-awareness test is a must-try. Answer 10 questions about yourself and your emotions and behaviour, then invite a minimum of three friends to provide feedback about you on the same topics. The result will reveal how closely your perception of yourself matches with your friends’ perceptions of you, and helps you to understand the areas in which you’ve got work to do.
Meet the creator: Berlin–based founders Kai Koch and John Roggan were struggling to find a method for self-improvement that stuck. Their solution was to build Ahead, first to help themselves and their friends, and now to help everyone else.
