My partner and I love this app! The core features of the Canvas + Thumb Kiss make this app special for us, and it makes the app so important in our relationship as it provides consistency even when we aren’t able to meet up in person. I appreciate the development going on behind the scenes to make Candle more engaging through mini games, questions and UI improvements. I’m keen to see more features rolled out that allow for some flexibility around the day-to-day dynamics of a relationship. Overall, would highly recommend to all couples to keep things fun ☺️

me and my partner started using this app at the beginning of our long distance relationship and honestly it’s played a pivotal part in keeping us going strong! The daily photo prompts help me just get a glimpse into his day to day happenings and the thumb kiss feature is the cutest thing on Gods green earth! Would highly recommend this to any couple doing long distance but also just to any couple in general! It’s keeps the relationship fun and curious and is always helping you get to know your partner better even if in small ways :)

My partner and I have upgraded to a premium version of the app, because we loved it so much. It helps us to stay connected while doing long distance. The team behind the app is also amazing and very helpful, assisting me in restoring my access when I accidentally got logged out pretty much immediately. I recommend getting the premium version - heaps of new questions get added all the time, new games and ways to connect. Definitely adds playfulness and meaning to our daily chats :)

me and my boyfriend have been struggling with connection after he started FIFO with only a short amount of time to get a “how was your day” in, but this has given us the ability to answer questions and connect in our own time when we are available i love it! please add a feature where you can add a song so i can share a song that’s been stuck in my head that day or something along the lines of that :) thank you

My partner and I love this app, we use it everyday. I recently got my friend and her partner hooked too, she said it has deepened their understanding of each other. The developers are super engaged - they post and answer questions regularly on the candle subreddit. And the app is constantly being updated with new questions, features and fixes. I never review apps but felt the need to for this one, very well done.

Shoutout to the wizards behind this app! My partner and I started our LDR a couple months ago and I can honestly say this has been such a great thing to look forward to everyday to help us feel more connected and closer, despite the distance.Thanks team Candle :)

Overall an awesome app, however theres alot of kinks to be ironed out, basic functionality like pressing the “tick button” after answering a question, sometimes takes 10 times to press before it works, often times not working at all. The camera button, the photo upload button, all the buttons seem to have a painfully slow response, my app is always kept up to date. Would be awesome to see the functionality improved.

The app continuously crashes after the new IOS update. Earlier it was a great app to keep in touch with my LDR gf but since the new OS the app doesn’t even open.

I love the idea of Candle. I’ve purchased a membership before and I believe in the value of the app. But the Streaks feature is a harsh reminder that this app, and in fairness most apps, is ultimately a money-making engine.I understand that user retention is important and Streaks are nice for some people.For us, it sort of ruins the magic and makes what would be a beautiful connection, just a chore.You can try ignoring the Streak, but then you’re just reminded that you basically abandoned your partner the next time you use the app.Please, just give us the option to turn it off. We just want a quieter, more human, more magical experience.

my partner and i have been using candle as part of our nightly routine for months now, and i absolutely can’t recommend it enough. it just makes communication easier and less confrontational, but also is a nice space to get to appreciate the little things my partner does. it’s nice to read some cute words before bed, and have meaningful discussions. seriously can’t recommend it enough, great app.
