This is an awesome app full of incredibly useful offline Wiki info & history on sites and attractions to see in the Big Apple. In eager anticipation, I have already planned what I want to see & can't wait to use it... All this and offline maps with GPS locator function, an excellent alternative to Lonely Planet guides at only $1.19 compared to $7.99... The major flaw in this travel guide has now been fixed with the addition of a sorely needed offline Metro Map. All the metro stations are also marked out on the main offline map with purple dots, so you know how each station relates to each line to help you get around more efficiently & which stations & routes are closest to the POI's you want to visit. Combined with Retina display support & this is now super value at $1.19 and one of the best & most comprehensive travel guides for iphone.

Visited NYC and used this map, especially the map and subway functions. Both were easy to use and were very helpful.Whilst the subway is easy to use it does help to know what line you are on and what stop you need to get out on. The map was helpful especially the search function which can zero in on the street that you are looking for. I used this with an ipod touch meaning I didn't need to have internet access. I got so much out of this app, such a big help.
