Hi, This is a great game and all and I love how you get to do most things but there is one thing that is a bit irritating. With the current horse energy system I could use an 800m horse that is a level below the rest of the field in a 3200m race and win. There is almost no difference in the horses performance with the preferences except for the position, but there is even things going wrong with that. I would suggest changing the energy system completely and try something else because there is only one pace in the race except for when you sprint. Also the sprint horses energy should charge faster or start with more than the stayers. There is insufficient energy when trying to race 800m with similar level horses. Also on courses with tight corners if you are beside a horse you get pushed really wide and end up too far back and you can’t stay with them because there is no pace change unless you want to use a lot of your energy. Other than that this is a really good game.

Rival stars is brilliant with their graphics despite being mobile, and especially how diverse the animations are during races, breeding and just in general it’s very impactful how skilled and detailed the movements can be. However I feel the game is lacking diversity in design, it would be much more immersive if we could have a choice in how we design the homestead and indoor stables rather than just upgrading it into how the game wants the finished look to be set as. Also your actual human player doesn’t have much customisation especially in the newer added races categories, we only get a choice on how our jockey uniform looks but steeplechase and cross country just remain and barren and boring as possible. Also the second anyone upgrades their breeding stables to level 5 it’s pretty much game over, breeding in that grade is just flat out bankruptcy and is going to cause way too much material loss and gold loss in order to get yourself another foal EVER, than a foal you’d actually want to obtain. This game is great and exceeds specific things but it also lacks extremely in other places that would definitely make an impact if they touched on it more. If the game used it’s amazing abilities throughout every single aspect it would be 100% the top game on the AppStore no doubt. I think once you upgrade level 5 stables it should be an instant addition into receiving gold in races from then on in order to sustain a growing ranch.

when I first started playing, I was amazed. The animations are great, it’s a good concept and I was satisfied. But the more I played, the lower I thought of the game. It’s almost impossible to do anything with out the Star Club- a paid membership. One thing the star club gives you is gold. I would strongly recommend adding a trading feature into the game, whether it’s trading with real people or fake people. For example, I think it would be nice to be able to exchange silver for gold. I understand that gold was put into the game (most likely) to encourage people to pay for it, and I understand that. Perhaps being able to trade gold for silver with a high rate wouldn’t be too bad. Eg. 1,000 silver = 10 gold. Or something similar. Another thing that happened quite recently was that I was breeding, as you do. I’m at level 9, so I’ve saved up a lot of gold form leveling up. I had about 1,000 gold and I really wanted to try and get a grade 5 horse, so I paid over 600 gold to try and get it. The chances of getting a grade 5 horse was 60%, and grade 4 horse was 40%. But what do you know! I get a grade 4 horse. I’m just annoyed because I spent all my gold for nothing. Anyway, if you’ve made it to the end of this review- congrats! This has been LONG. But if you want to get this game and don’t want to spend too much money, still get it-! But keep in mind that you might only be able to get a certain way through. But otherwise, I really like it!

At first I was amazed at this game because who wouldn’t it’s a nice horse game but the sad thing is it’s very hard to upgrade horse level levels with because it doesn’t explain to you what you need to do to upgrade this breeding level or something and I have been stuck on grade 4 horses for like over a year now and I have no idea what to do and so I’m honestly getting kind of sick of this game. Also with the showjumping and steeplechasing cross country when I’m trying to like take a video or take a screenshot it’s always interrupted by the horses graphics going through the fence and I know that graphics are hard to make and do, but it honestly throws the whole thing off because the horse is going straight through the fence and somehow clearing it. And the breeding is also very questionable as I am breeding two black and white horses or a black and a white horse and somehow ending up with a chestnut pinto like that is very confusing to me as I’m looking through the stats and seeing no base colour as that so basically I’m constantly getting the same colour horse over and over again which is quite irritating, and the cost just to breed a horse with pretty good stats is honestly insane because 600 gold just to breed a level five horse that you can’t even get another level five with without paying real money again I love this game but it’s very questionable and quite irritated
