STEP File Viewer 1.1.0 brings a redesigned interface: viewing, measuring, reviewing and exporting STEP / STP / IGES 3D models on iPhone, iPad and Mac is now smoother. Redesigned interface • A two-row toolbar; on larger screens the main tools are labeled: Open, Notes, Measure, Section, Explode, 2D views, Export • Improved Dark Mode: menus, the sidebar and dialogs follow the system appearance; alerts now use the app's own style • The start screen opens a model or a recent file directly, and loading shows clear progress • Section, Explode, 2D views and other modes show their status at the bottom; tap × or press Esc to leave them • The top menu bar stays visible, and Share, Guide and more now live in the More menu; features that need unlocking are marked PRO Fixes and refinements • Exporting to STL, OBJ, glTF, GLB or USDZ restores the complete solid model first: section cuts, 2D views, exploded layouts and measurement markers no longer end up in the file, so exports open correctly in other apps • Export and import Review Notes backups to move notes between iPhone, iPad and Mac; an import previews the changes first, and an older backup never overwrites newer edits (unlocked together with review report export) • Mac: opening a model from recent files works again, and clicking empty space clears the selection; keyboard shortcuts include ⌘O to open, G to toggle the grid and D for model details • The Measure, Review Notes and exploded-parts panels no longer overlap • Point to Point and Point to Plane measurements no longer create 0-distance records

- New Review Notes: pin a note to a face or a part to record what needs a second look, and jump straight back to that view any time. - Selecting a note highlights the part it belongs to and rings the exact spot, so it is instantly clear what the note refers to. - Export a review report as PDF: every note comes with a screenshot from its own viewpoint, ready for design reviews, records and handover (subscription feature). - Notes are saved automatically and come back when you reopen the same model; you can also export a backup file to move them between devices. - On Mac, the app now runs in a single main window: no more stray duplicate windows, and closing the window quits the app instead of leaving it running in the Dock. - Reduced memory use on large models, so opening several models in a row stays stable.

- Improved model zoom control for smoother mouse wheel and trackpad zooming, making view adjustments more precise. - Improved the recent files list with quick filename filtering and a clearer Clear All action. - Improved STEP file compatibility, fixing some models that failed to load or showed abnormal faces and holes.

- View orientation has been optimized for the Z-up convention commonly used in industrial and mechanical CAD. - The bottom-right ViewCube has been further improved, keeping standard views, rotate, roll, and reset actions in sync with the model view.

- Added exploded-parts faceted STEP export — save each exploded part as a separate STEP file, with batch export to a single folder - Added an explosion radius slider (1×–20×) to the exploded-parts panel - Replaced the corner view helper with a new view cube — tap faces for front, top, side, and other standard views; use the surrounding buttons to rotate and roll the model
