• Location-based reminders (Timely Pro). Turn on Location in a reminder and pick a place. Timely reminds you when you arrive or when you leave: "take out the trash" when you get home, "grab milk" when you leave work. Give it a due date as well, and whichever comes first wins. Once it's due, Timely keeps reminding you until it's done, like any other reminder. • Saved locations. Name the places you use most, like Home, Work or the gym, and choose them from a menu. Drag the handle on the map to set how big each place is. Manage them in Settings → Locations. • A new PRO badge shows which features are part of Timely Pro.

• The high priority alarm icon is a little lighter, so it sits alongside the rest of your list rather than over it. • The rest of this update is under the hood. Groundwork for what's coming next. Nothing changes about how Timely reminds you.

• Steadier iCloud sync. iOS could shut Timely down if it was sent to the background in the middle of syncing with iCloud — most often right after you completed a reminder from its notification. Timely now finishes the sync before it steps aside, so your reminders stay in step across your devices. • Timely now says when notifications are off. Without notification permission Timely can't remind you about anything, and it used to carry on as though nothing were wrong. Your list now tells you, with a link straight to Settings, and starts reminding you again the moment you turn them back on.

• Notification buttons work again. Completing or snoozing a reminder straight from its notification could quit Timely when the app wasn't already open. The buttons on the banner are reliable now. • Widgets keep up. Finish a reminder from a notification or your Apple Watch and your widgets update straight away. They could go on showing it as due for the rest of the day. • A calmer overdue mark. A reminder past its time now gets a small red dot beside its title instead of a white-on-red OVERDUE badge, and the section at the top of your list simply reads "Due." Your widgets and the Mac menu bar use the same dot. • Typing a reminder does what it says. Tap Apply and the date and time you typed are properly stripped out of the title. "Call mom every Monday" comes due next Monday rather than today. The chips behave one at a time too: dismissing one no longer clears the whole row, and dismissing the date no longer leaves the time behind. • Long titles wrap on the Mac. They were cut off at a single line. The checkbox now sits beside the first line of a wrapped title on both platforms. • The small Lock Screen widget has dropped the ring around its count. It measured nothing you could name — adding a reminder due next month moved it backwards.

• Clearer widgets. They now show the same due times your list shows: "Today, 5:00 pm" rather than a countdown from "in 3 hr," so a reminder reads the same on your Home Screen as it does in the app. Overdue reminders get a mark beside the title instead of turning the whole row red, and widgets now look a full day ahead. • A readable add sheet in light mode. The sections of the new reminder sheet were white cards on a white background, so they only showed up properly in dark mode. • Fixes for the Mac app: list rows select reliably again, pestering holds a steady cadence, and the menu bar list keeps up with the clock.

Timely is now a native Mac app too. • Get Timely on your Mac and work from one list. It sits in your menu bar with a count of what's overdue, notifies you there, opens a new reminder with ⌘N even when the window is closed, and can launch at login. Pro is a universal purchase. If you subscribe on your iPhone, the Mac app is included. • Complete something on your iPhone and your Mac syncs automatically. • No more gap after the first reminder. Timely could drop the nudge that came after the due-time notification and go quiet for as long as twice the interval you'd picked. It keeps that one now. • Steadier notifications. Timely used to rebuild your pending notifications every time it checked your list, which could clear a banner you hadn't dealt with yet, or clip a reminder right as it came due. It leaves them alone now. • Your list keeps up while you're looking at it. A reminder that falls due with the app open moves to Overdue on the minute, rather than waiting until you next open Timely. • Shorter reminder rows. No date on reminders under Today or Tomorrow, where the heading already says the day. Overdue and completed reminders still show theirs.

This one is all fixes: • Notification titles now update properly when you change a reminder's title. • Better reliability for cancelling already-done reminders across devices. • Typing a reminder title quickly after opening the new reminder sheet could sometimes scramble the text. This is fixed. • Cleaner custom repeat screen. The number and its unit now sit side by side and read as a phrase — "Every 2 weeks" — and the number is easier to tap to edit. • Also fixed: a stray double space left behind when Timely picks a date out of your reminder's title, and the save button staying grey on Mac while you type.

• High priority reminders — for anything you really can't miss, switch on High priority and Timely also sounds an alarm when it's due. Alarms break through Silent mode and Focus, and stay on screen until you act on them. Tap Done on the alarm to mark the reminder complete. • No more nudges for things you've already done — a reminder you'd completed or rescheduled could keep pestering, and reopening the app didn't clear it. Completing something on one device also didn't always stop the reminders on your others. Timely now tidies up leftover reminders every time it syncs. • Also fixed: the app icon badge no longer stays red when nothing is overdue, and snoozed reminders no longer show "(Snoozed)" in the notification.

• Widgets — put your reminders on the Home Screen in three sizes, or on the Lock Screen. Tap the widget to jump straight to your list. • Siri, Shortcuts, and Spotlight — ask Siri "What's on my Timely list" to hear what's left, and say "Add a to-do in Timely" to add one (it now goes straight to Timely instead of asking which app you meant). Reminders show up in Spotlight search, and you can build your own Shortcuts to add, find, update, snooze, or complete them automatically. • More snooze options — press and hold a reminder notification and tap "More snooze options…" to pick any duration from 5 minutes to 1 day, not just your four favorites. • Faster sync — changes you make on one device now show up on your others in moments. • Timely Pro on all your devices — your subscription now follows your Apple Account, so Pro works everywhere you're signed in. (Not seeing it? Tap Restore Purchases in Settings.) • Also fixed: repeating reminders handle awkward dates like "the 31st, every month" without getting stuck; snoozing from your list no longer nudges the next reminder off schedule; dictated dates like "in five days at 6 PM" no longer land on today and pester you immediately; very long titles no longer stretch the New Reminder screen; and the add button stays on screen when using Timely on a Mac.

Add reminders with your voice! Just ask Siri to "Add a Timely reminder." When prompted, say what you want to be reminded about, including when and how often.
