A year on one screen: a full calendar on the left, your milestones on the right, each painting its color across the days it ran.
Milestones is a year on one screen. The left side is a full calendar, every month and every day of it. The right side is your list. Say when something started and it paints its color across the calendar, up to today or up to the day it finished.
That is the whole idea. There are no hours to log and no boxes to tick. You name the things that took up your year, you say when they ran, and the calendar shows you the shape of it.
ONE TIMELINE
No two milestones cover the same day. Set one to start today and whatever was running finishes yesterday, because starting the next thing is how the last thing ends. A milestone you have not finished keeps claiming days right up to today.
FAST TO USE
Everything is one keystroke or one right click away. The arrow keys move the selection, Enter renames, Command-N adds a milestone and opens its name for typing. Drag rows to reorder the list; that order is yours to arrange and has nothing to do with the dates. There are ten colors, and a new milestone takes the first unused one.
Right click any milestone to start it today, finish it today, mark it as in progress again, pick an exact day on the calendar, clear its dates, or change its color. Right click a day to mark it as vacation; vacation days are crossed out and skipped by the milestone timeline. Undo is there for all of it.
YOURS, ON YOUR MAC
There is no account, no sync, and no server. Nothing leaves your Mac. Everything lives in one file in the app's own folder, so copying that file copies your year.
