Experiences after using Reflow for five minutes

Since Reflow is apparently the only musical notation application available in the App Store, I thought I'd give it a chance - but unfortunately it failed completely. I tried to make a percussion score from an orchestral piece requiring five players - the handwritten original score was very hard to read and there were no individual parts available for the five players. But before I could even get started typing notes, I was facing numerous problems:• Italian tempo markings are not accepted (my piece starts "Andante"). And what's worse: there is no way of getting rid of the standard bpm-tempo - numbers between 30 and 300 are possible, but it's impossible to leave out the tempo indication (so that you could write in "Andante" by hand on your printed scores, at least!). And then, the function to add text above the notation didn't seem to work either.• Some of the players in my piece would have to play Xylophone, Snare Drum and a couple of other percussion instruments during the piece. If you need to write a percussion score, you have to make a "Drums" track in Reflow, but to write melodies (such as for Xylophone), you need a keyboard track - it's just not possible to have both in the same track. So if any of the music you want to write down requires a change of instrument for one of the players, you're gonna need a different application.• The piece I wanted to write down has numerous changes in time signature, from 4/4 to 3/8 and back and so on. Unfortunately Reflow offers no way of adding measures with a new time signature, you have to add empty measures and then change the time sognature separately - that takes a lot of time when you have to change the time signature every other measure.• Some of the players in my piece have to play vibraphone with four mallets - that requires the possibility to write down a whole chord (consisting of three or four single notes) on a single staff. In Reflow, you need a grand staff (as used for piano notation) to write down a chord of four notes, because you can only write down two melodic voices per staff.• My piece started with a couple of bars of rests - which is a common thing in orchestral parts - but I quit the program and deleted it when I couldn't find a way of adding a rest within five minutes (and after having read the manual on the internet).These are some of the issues I found after having tried Reflow for five minutes. Conclusion: If you need an application for serious musical Notation, buy a professional solution like Finale or use the editor in Logic or in any other audio application - do not waste your money on Reflow, you won't be able to use it the way you want/need to. If you only need very simple and very basic musical notation, do not waste your money on Reflow either - it's far too expensive for what it offers and you'll probably find free software on the internet that's easier to use.

Je suis scandalisé quant au fait que les logiciels que vous proposez ne soient décrits qu’en une seule phrase et ne donne que des indications des plus sommaires. En outre, votre texte précise même exactement ceci : "Reflow est un nouveau logiciel de notation musicale complet".Complet ... quel honteux mensonge ...!J’ai acheté ce logiciel afin d’éditer principalement des partitions pour chœur mixte à 4 voix et tout me portait à croire que cela serait parfaitement possible. Or ce logiciel n’est prévu que pour les notations pour guitare à une seule portée et rien ne l’indiquait spécifiquement. Je me sens donc totalement trompé. Ce logiciel m’est donc parfaitement inutile et est passé par la case poubelle.Je souhaite impérativement un remboursement du montant versé.Cordialement

J'ai acheté cette application uniquement pour pouvoir lire des tablatures "guitar po" trouvables sur internet. Après plusieurs test, seul une petite quantité est compatibles. dommage, surtout au prix de l'application on aurait pu espérer plus de compatibilité..
