Your library and your page, side by side. On a wide screen ScanOnce puts the library on one side and the page you are reading on the other, at page size, and opening or closing the phone keeps the document open. Sign and fill. Draw your signature once, then place it on any page with a tap, and write in dates by hand. It goes into the PDF and never leaves your device.

The free library now holds three documents, and Pro is explained once, up front, instead of at the tenth scan. Everything you have already saved stays exactly where it is.

ScanOnce now speaks German, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese, every screen and every word. New: reminders. A nudge when a scan has been sitting unopened, and a weekly note about your library. Your iPhone schedules both of them itself. Nothing arrives from a server, because there still is no server. Turn them off in Settings.

NEW: a Photo filter. The other filters turn a page into something that looks like it came off a flatbed, which means driving the background to white. On an ID card, a passport or anything printed on colour that is not a cleanup, it is a deletion: the tint, the portrait and every light-printed line disappear. Photo takes the room's shading off and leaves the document alone. The existing filters are also less heavy-handed now, so light print survives them too.

ScanOnce is built for iPad, and now speaks eleven languages. • iPad. The library fills the screen with as many columns as fit, and every screen is laid out for the larger canvas. • Japanese and Indonesian, throughout the app. • Pro can now be taken monthly or yearly, alongside the one-time purchase that never expires. If you already bought Pro, you keep everything, permanently. • Fixed text that appeared in English no matter which language you use.

Privacy housekeeping. • Our privacy policy and support pages moved to a domain we own, so they stay reachable. • You can open the privacy policy straight from Settings. • Updated privacy disclosures to meet the latest App Store requirements.

Unlocking Pro from the App Store page now completes correctly in the app.

Scans finally look like scans. CAPTURE, REBUILT The lighting is measured and divided back out, so the shadow of your hand and the yellow of a room light no longer end up in the file. Paper comes out white, text comes out black, and small print survives. PROPER PDFs Pages are written at true 300 dpi, so a scanned A4 prints as an A4. Exported PDFs are searchable: find a word inside them in Files, Mail or Preview. IT READS YOUR DOCUMENTS On-device reading names each scan, tags it, and files receipts, invoices, contracts, IDs and business cards into collections by itself. Nothing is uploaded. RECEIPTS TO A SPREADSHEET Export your receipts and invoices as a CSV with dates, vendors and totals. BUSINESS CARDS TO CONTACTS Scan a card, save the person. FASTER TO START Ask Siri to scan a document, or put it on your Action button. EDITING NO LONGER COSTS QUALITY Rotate or recolour a page and every other page stays at full resolution. Now available in Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
