Pick a key and a scale or chord. Tonic lights up every place it lives on the neck, labelled by note name or by scale degree. Tap any note to hear it. Change the tuning and the whole map redraws to stay correct — Drop D, Open C, ten tunings in all.

Notes are spelled the way a method book prints them: in G minor you read Bb, not A#, and flat keys show flats on the board, the chips and the lessons.

Your screen stays on while the board is open. Put the phone on a music stand and it will not dim thirty seconds into a practice session — reading a fretboard makes no taps, which is exactly why iOS kept turning it off. The switch is on the Guide tab, and it is part of Tonic Pro.
