Now you pick a folder in Files or iCloud Drive and every project is kept out there too. Deleted the app, or got a new iPad? Restore and they are all back. It runs on its own when you leave the app, and copies only what changed, so it stays quick even on a project full of video. STUDIO VOICE Clean the voice is a full studio chain now: EQ, levelling, de-esser and limiter. And it no longer stops at your voice-over. The voice recorded inside the video gets the same treatment, so the phone in your hand starts sounding like a microphone in a booth. A video with nobody talking is left alone. SLIDESHOW Pick a handful of photos and the app builds the whole sequence: one image per cut, movement on each one, and the transition you chose in between. With music in the project, every change lands on the beat. It comes out finished and already playing, not a pile of cuts for you to fix. AUTO CUT ON THE VOICE It listens to you. Every stretch of speech becomes a cut, every pause between them goes out, and what you get back is the jump cut edit you would have made by hand, in seconds. Tell it which language you speak and it does the rest. Also new: VHS, the fifth effect in FX, and it is not a green filter. The shot is recorded on tape and played back on a tube TV: lines come in late and the picture wobbles, color smears off every edge, the head loses the track and a band of torn picture climbs the screen. It sits on top of the other effects, so a drawing underneath plays on the old TV too. Line width, a new ruler in Take On Me, Draw Effect and Neon. Strength was always one thing and width came along for the ride, so a hairline was only possible by losing the line. Two rulers now, and halfway is exactly the calibration you already had. In Neon, Glow replaced Contour: it is how much the sign lights up, the halo and the body of light inside it. The robot puts your images on the beat, even the ones already on the timeline: each photo holds a whole number of beats and the change falls on the beat. Drag a video onto the gallery and the project is born at the file's own size, with the video already in it. Several at once: the first sets the format, the rest come in as cuts. Midtones, the eighth adjustment: rescue a dark video while black stays black and white stays white. Auto Adjust was rebuilt around it and does not burn the picture anymore. Improve, in Phrases and in Story: Apple Intelligence rewrites, proofreads or summarizes what you wrote. The gallery got real drag and drop: drop between cards to reorder, on a card to stack. Fixes: exported video no longer comes out washed, the movement of the images does not jolt at every transition, and a cut whose file went missing no longer takes the app down. Maximum effort!

This one is about the look. Three effects to draw over your video, and they stack: Take On Me: the contour redrawn frame by frame, straight from the a-ha video. New Scribbles slider included. Draw Effect: the whole shot synthesized in pencil, stroke by stroke on paper. Runs on the GPU, so exports that took 7 minutes now draw in under 30 seconds. Neon: only the outline, glowing like a sign, with a Treatment that takes the whole scene into neon colors. Plus paper textures and blend modes behind each cut. Reveal: a line slides across the cut showing the before on one side and the after on the other. The screenshot editor got its own Reveal too, with a draggable line and another image behind your art. Also new: Freeze at end: the cut plays and the last frame holds as long as you choose. Music Delay: the video opens in silence and the track comes in later, with the fade in. On iPad and Mac, FX, Adjust, Reveal and Music are movable windows now: drag the handle and park them anywhere. The robot's Loop toggle is reversible: turn it off and the video goes back to how it was. Exact duration adjusts finer, scaling speeds or trims proportionally across all cuts. Fixes: text outline spikes on sharp corners, shadow with the band on, music fade out in the exported video, and a crash deleting a cut from its own settings. Maximum effort!

What's New in 1.2 Turn a green screen recording into game-ready art. The robot now removes the green background and leaves clean, transparent frames. Smart despill means no green fringe on hair or edges.
