I Love this app but still not ideal

I have about 6 different emails, from Gmail and iCloud and whenever I reinstall my Mac OS or get a new iPhone, the app never manages to restore account settings from the cloud, even if I start from the iCloud one, which is supposed to save all the settings for my acount.

Problems keep coming

I’ve been using Airmail for 2 years, I chose Airmail due to the design that is way better than Mail. Been hardly any problem but sometimes it slow on receiving email, on some account I use Mail, so sometimes I received email on Mail but it takes few hours later to be received on Airmail. I also have minor problem which solved e.g. cant minimize email window, draft email is gone from inbox, star is gone from the inbox list. Customer service are well dealing with it and I was quite happy till today. First Problem (account 1, pop)I got complaints from my clients that they havent received my email. I tried several time to send email to my company email, gmail and icloud and receive nothing, I tried to send email via webmail and Mail and it works well. I trace my sent items and it goes back that nobody receive my email since last week! Already lost 1 day of tracing and move to Mail for sending emails. Second Problem (account 2, pop)Suddenly the inbox on one of my pop mail was just gone, only sent and search folder! I contact the Customer Service and was prompted to back up, delete acount, and restart, i backed up and put on desktop. Looks well at the first time but the inbox only contains the email on my mailserver, all old emails are gone but sent items is fine. Now if I accidentally delete the inbox data then I should have it on my trash right? but i couldnt find it there too…so i thought if old email is gone then so be it, but strangely, later on I found that my inbox is somehow merged in the sent items folder!!! The Customer Service ask me to use the rules, I did, but the rules seems cant seperate the incoming and outgoing message. So the best way for me now is to move it manually….unaceptable but got to do it anyway. So now ill find a way to move all my message to Mail and will never go back. You guys have great design and customer service but unfortunately you have many unsolved homework...

Certainly a beautiful interface design and also the support was fast and to the point. Maybe this is a good app if you only have iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo etc. email accounts. For me however using several IMAP accounts it has turned out to be a disaster as I kept “loosing” emails. A great number of emails have literally disappeared from my Mac and on my IMAP servers. While I am not quiet sure how this happened I believe it is related to the way one is able to tag emails which creates actually a folder for this “tag”. It did seem that once I removed a given tag from an email it became orphaned and instead of being moved to the trash it simply disappeared. Be aware… I am back to Apple Mail.
