HOW WE GET YOU OFF HINGE
When it comes to online dating, people are so busy matching that they’re not actually connecting, in person, where it counts. Hinge is on a mission to change that. So we built an app that’s designed to be deleted. Here’s how:
* We quickly learn your type. You’ll only be introduced to the best people for you.
* We give you a sense of someone’s personality. You’ll get to know potential dates through their unique answers to prompts, as well as information like religion, height, politics, dating intentions, relationship type, and much more.
* We make it easy to start a conversation. Every match begins by someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile.
* We want you to feel confident about meeting people in person. Selfie Verification makes it easier for daters on Hinge to ensure that they are who they say they are.
* We ask how your dates are going. After exchanging phone numbers with a Match, we’ll follow up to hear how your date went so we can make better recommendations in the future.
The app is free to use. Members looking to see everyone who likes them or send unlimited likes can upgrade to Hinge+. To access additional features, including enhanced recommendations and priority likes, we offer HingeX.

Yes, I am banned from Hinge, just because I thought I would use a catch phrase that I saw on instagram and sending that to people and hope that I would draw a bit more attention.(that line never had any bad meaning) even tough I tried to appeal, never worked. Didn’t even get considered as after I appealed it took 2 seconds to reject my appeal, since then I can’t get connected with people, even though I had no bad intentions, my suggestion would be use hinge but be a robot. People get away with stupid things and I got banned because I sent funny messages to people!

I opened account and paid monthly subscription. Started talking to a guy. 2mins in I’ve got message on screen my account is banned as I broke some rules. Which ones? No idea. Exchanged multiple emails with their staff (or AI, who know of there are any real people left) and no one can explain which rules. They refused to returned subscription fee as apparently they don’t have to if rules are broken. They said to unblock my account I need to submit a copy of my ID. Excuse me?? Why would I submit ID to a company that’s going to sell it to 3rd parties, or have it stolen by hackers? I already confirmed my identity when I approved payment to my bank for subscription. There used to be verification where you take your picture. If I knew they now require submitting government issued photo ID or passport, I wouldn’t bother! They are thieves! And the worst is, I still don’t know which rules I have broken. They said they don’t have to tell me. What? I’ll never use any such app again, every woman I know complains and leaves it after couple of days. I’ve friend who actually submitted ID and they don’t unblock her account without any reason why. Those apps get bad reviews and I now know why. Don’t spend your money on this

I had been using Hinge for around 4 years on and off. A few months ago I woke up to an email saying that my account had been banned. This was strange to me as I hadn’t used the account for a few weeks and wouldn’t have done anything ever to warrant a ban. In utter shock I assumed my account had been hacked some way so I appealed. My appeal was denied and now I have no way of retrieving my account. I’ve heard of this happening to people before where they have been banned for no reason and Hinge support is absolutely no help as you only get one chance of an appeal. They don’t even tell you why you got banned just that you violated guidelines. I’ve tried reaching out via email so that I could have some level of human interaction but no response. This is a disgrace and completely unfair.
We made performance improvements which means you may end up deleting our app even sooner than you intended.
