Thrilling and awesome!

I have always been a huge fan of the serie and when I heard about this game for a moment I had my doubts but from the moment I started playing I new I had been wrong. This game is outstanding! Awesome graphics, all the cool ships we love (Jellyfish is my favorite!), hundreds perhaps thousands of missions and, have I mentioned the graphics? Sorry, really can’t get over the beauty of this game. You must try it!

While the graphics are good and look slick game play since the merging of both servers has gone downhill from a beta game with a few bugs to a game that has completely gone backwards, to something that is almost unplayable. Ships arriving back to base destroyed with a repair cost that with the new mining rates will have 1.4 weeks to mine providing I don’t get attacked in the meantime. Back to having missions bugged, unable to select system or base without having to restart. Not to mention the mess of the merging that has cost players ships res and buildings that are being refused credit for in hopes that they are forced to pay to play and keep up while other players are being credit more than was lost and are put at a totally unfair advantage. The lack of compassion from the customer care team is unreal both in game and via email and have no problems with bleating lying to players while rewarding some and ostracizing others. The countdown to the 29th is not for the games launch day but for when the day it fails when this unplayable mess is set free to the masses of fans and players that want to be will be unable to play the game. I hope and urge CBS to pull the licence to this. And a note to the person who will reply saying mail us I have been in game and via mail 7 different people and 1 supervisor so far all unwilling to return what was taken from me during the merge, and as a last resort and to vent my frustration ive come here I only gave this 1 start because zero wasn’t an option. I feel sad that it has to be like this and as long-term player since week 1 of first beta and player of 3 other scopley titles, im highly disappointed with the level of push back players have received myself included and unwillingness to return and credit what was lost during the merge. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!

1 - This game is enjoyable in the early stages, but before long you will be subject to all the tricks in the book to get you and keep you spending. Excessively long times for completing upgrades and research, long cool-downs on items, and required materials either not available without a purchase, or doled out in tiny amounts to make you want to purchase to speed things up. 2 - Even if you do buy packs (and why not, it’s your money), it is never enough. All it does is get you to the next paywall faster. Additionally a feature you pay for one month, can be completely obsoleted by a subsequent feature released a month or 2 later. 3 - Over time the game has become bloated with far too many currencies, resources and gameplay loops to the point where it is impossible to keep up, again unless you spend regularly to speed your progress. This new “content” is delivered monthly. 4 - The game suffers from frequent severe lag and is riddled with bugs, many of which are years old and will simply never be addressed, since fixing things doesn’t bring in new revenue. In short, having played this game for quite a long time, take it from me, avoid this game and any others by this developer at all costs. They do not develop games, they develop cynical psychological mechanisms to get you and keep you spending more and more.

To start the App Store screen says choose your ship, ships become unlocked with progression and cash and many displayed are late play content. Secondly the game is in a constant state of unplayability with weekly updates breaking the game even after all these years. You will also discover new pay to play ships rolled out after new content which is almost impossible to beat until the new ship to buy comes out. This cycle repeats every two months with ships purchased few months earlier almost useless. Also ships aren’t cheap, new ships cost €99 with some of the more iconic requiring years of play time or paying up even more. After playing for 7 years I can clearly say they don’t care about players anymore only cashing in on poor service and playability.
