When i play Blitz or bullet chess, omg idk how there stopwatch algorithm works, with almost a good wifi connection in my room, I should not expect any time lag or something from my side, many times enemy’s stopwatch automatically increase their time by 1-2 secs. Like literally what the hell!! Many time i just lost the match because of lack of time, and it’s not like I’m taking too much time for my moves, it just their stopwatch algorithm is pathetic. Idc if u r increase my opponent’s time just cuz they don’t have good connection, i have well connected network from my side, why the hell i will face this time discrimination…, many time just cuz of 2-3 secs I loss my match even after sitting in a winning position. Most pathetic stopwatch algorithm for speed cheese. Play classic chess here, it’s Okay…, but hell NO for the speed chess. Writing this review out of frustration. You know how it feels being in a clear winning position but losing the game just cuz of a glitchy useless stopwatch ALGOSystem this app has. Those who play speed chess can understand my pain.

I have tried quite a few chess related apps, but frankly this app has all others beat, hands down! The customisable game engine a.k.a. Computer mode is the best that any free app on the App Store offers right now. That alone is sufficient reason to try this app if you're looking to improve your game. There are tons of learning material, and a game analysis feature which makes this easily the best one out there. Subscription is a bit pricey though, without which the app restricts most of the useful features except for the Computer mode.Edit: I am taking away one star for the latest update because of omission of a very crucial feature of computer mode which allowed you to switch sides. It really helped my game to understand how to play different openings and how to play against them. Now I am limited to whatever random opening the computer chooses to play.Edit (second): thanks for listening! You get your star back.

The agency who identifies the player as deviating from the rule book whichever it is and there after not allowing to play in routine and normal way and also tagging him as bad or any type player should at the outset take reasons for doing so which is felt by it as wrong before tagging .For example in my case I never intend to hurt/ cause any type of inconvenience or any unless I am in helpless situations like 1) loosing net/ internet2) any urgent phone calls 3)screen off or any due to lack of sufficient computer/ cell phone technology 4) wrong pressing/ unknowingly touching wrong button due to age/ eye problems So I request the concerned authorities to pl consider/ review the genuine concerns as many are basically are ardent lovers of chess and chess playing and will not do any with intension but only mistakenly it happens . May be done even on individual cases if possible TX

Talk about not knowing your audience. A “feature” introduced while analyzing games was to show arrows for the computer lines. Most of us like to think more about a position before we look at what the computer lines suggests… these arrows are “spoilers”. At the least a setting could have been provided to disable them. Very poor UX design in general. In the ipad mini while analyzing, the move list comes at a place right below the arrows to navigate the game moves. So while pressing the next move arrow, it often is the case that the finger accidentally smudges over the move list - and suddenly the board transforms to the position at that move in the move list, which is often somewhere at the end of the game. Then you’d have to keep hitting prev to get gack to the place you were in. Very annoying this placement of controls without disregarding the ergonomics.UPDATE: Sep-2022: Still no option to disable the analysis arrows. Still nav buttons are in the same place in the ipad mini - right below move list, accidental smudges to move list continue to happen.
