No update when flight was cancelled by airlines 10 days before

I had booked my flights a month back using ixigo. My airlines(SpiceJet) had cancelled the flights 10 days before my travel date, I hadn’t received the msg from them (which is a entirely different story). Customers booking through an app tend to rely on information present and updates provided via the app. ixigo was not updated with any information at all, they were sending notifications saying your flight is on time , your flight is scheduled etc, when the flight was actually cancelled. we had to find out at the airport that flights are cancelled. When called on customer service we got no help from them all they said was “we understand but, we can’t do anything” We had no flights home that day, had to make reservations that costed us double the price. I even asked if they can provide an alternate flight with any discounts cause clearly we had the wrong information at hand. But no help at all no matter what. Asked for a refund they only said have to check with the airline on this. This app is of no use you cannot rely on any info on app as nothing is updated. They provide discounts to attract you but they have outdated info, once booked no support post the same. Really disappointed with this.

Not reliable - Double check with hotels if booked through ixigo

I recently booked a hotel in varcala through ixigo but when I reached the property, the hotel staff informed me that they have no tie-up or agreement with this company and refused to honour my booking. It was extremely frustrating and embarrassing, especially after travelling a long distance and arriving late.Despite having a confirmed booking and payment receipt, I was left stranded with no assistance from ixigo. Their customer service was unresponsive and offered no quick solution or alternate arrangement. They only provide with refund that too after 3 days with no apologies or any kind of compensation. It clearly shows a lack of coordination and transparency between the company and the hotels listed on their platform. Once this kind of company reaches a certain level they stop caring about people.I strongly advise others to double-check directly with the hotel before travelling if booking through ixigo. My experience was stressful and disappointing, and I hope they take responsibility to fix such issues in the future.
