First of all, I love the concept. The game is very good, fun to play. I consider myself a decent gamer. Strategy is my favorite game. I noticed that I was not doing that well. Then I checked couple of videos on YouTube and I realized I was playing the wrong game. I was trying to build a city. In a city, you have people living in houses and business running stores. The city is color coded, which is ok. Yellow houses go to yellow stores, etc. Preferences. Some people are vegetarians some meat lovers. Some people prefer tea others coffee. Some people like active entertainment some like movies. The problem with the game is, it is not the people (houses) that decide where to go, it is the businesses that demand customers. So, as long as you provide the customer, you are ok. Therefore in order to excel in this game, you need to feed businesses enough people. As long as each business has enough customers, rest of the people can stay at home. Top players just feed minimum number of houses to each business in a worm like path. Many of the houses remain disconnected because who cares about the people when businesses are happy. That is not how a city should be run. The people should be able to choose which (same color) business they want to go to. It might be near or on the other side of the city. When you were to allow multiple destinations, pathways would cross. Everyone would be connected. That would be a great city. Bottom line; it is a great game that forces you to enforce extreme segregation with weird underlying patterns to perform better. Anyway, I think I will just finish each city with at least 1000 interconnected trips and call it done. Shame really.
