Try a first shift in a 3D café. Rewind a choice, compare the paths and keep words for later. Four everyday practices work offline.
Rehearse the words you want ready for a first shift, a conversation at school or a request you want to decline. Hangar is a practice app for autistic and neurodivergent teens ages 13-17.
FOUR EVERYDAY PRACTICES, OFFLINE
Step into a 3D café for your first shift. Read an order slip, ask for written steps or set a limit on the task. Choose your aim and try a version where the plan changes or support is busy.
The four practices are First shift at a café, Saying no, The wrong order and A quieter place. They follow written branches: choose an action to see what happens next. You can rehearse the suggested line or put it in your own words. These practices work without internet.
TRY ANOTHER WAY THROUGH
Rewind to an earlier choice and compare the two paths. Pausing, resuming or trying another branch stays within the same practice. Keep a private carry card with a first line, a question, support you can request and a way to leave. Edit the words before saving or sharing them.
50 CONVERSATION SCENARIOS
The conversation library covers school, work, everyday tasks and fictional phone calls. Choose a goal and the support level available for that scene, from a visible script to less scripted dialogue. Live character replies require an internet connection. Phone scenarios never place a real call.
Voice and typing are both options. Captions stay on. Pause, use the Calm Corner or leave a scene when you choose. Hangar does not score eye contact, tone of voice, pauses or stimming. You can also hide the café and use the written scene and buttons.
PRIVATE PREPARATION
Tomorrow's Moment matches your notes about an upcoming situation to an existing authored rehearsal on your device. Those notes are not sent to a model to create a new scene.
Speech is transcribed on your device; recordings are not uploaded or saved. For live dialogue, your goal, current and earlier conversation text and authored scene context are sent through our server to OpenAI after consent. Personal details you include in those words travel with them. OpenAI's API safety logs may retain content for up to 30 days, or longer when legally required.
No login is required. Practice records, carry cards and saved plans are stored locally. You choose whether to share them and can clear local data in Settings. There is no advertising or cross-app tracking.
FREE AND OPTIONAL PREMIUM
Free includes three practices in a rolling seven-day period, shared across everyday rehearsals and live flights, plus safety tools, typing, carry cards and on-device Tomorrow's Moment matching.
Premium adds daily practice and saving new Tomorrow's Moment plans and updating saved plans. Existing saved practices, cards and plans remain readable without an active subscription. Monthly and yearly subscriptions are available. Apple shows the current local price and any eligible introductory offer before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in Apple Account settings.
Hangar is a general-wellness practice tool, not therapy, diagnosis or treatment. Fictional characters cannot predict how a real person will respond.
