Very good! I’m using it with my Applewatch Ultra. The thing I miss the most is the ability to import/ export .GPS files and an iPad app.

Lovin the new Surfline Forecasts! What would make this app even better is if you could implement the Surfline Sessions wizardry so that we can import our own Video Clips instead of being limited to the few select US surf spots tha happen to have a Surfline camera pointed at the lineup.We can record our entire session with the phone (on a tripod) + apple Watch, and get both visual and telemetry data.Then import the video from the phone into the Dawn Patrol app. And sync the waves recorded on the watch with the timestamp in the video. Finally export Video Clips with Telemetry Overlays from your confirmed waves.If this was possibly it would make this app so much more useful to the point that you can actually use the data to improve your surfing.

Good app but an issue with Strava

When syncing a surf sessions with Strava, the workout gets duplicated as a Dawn Patrol exercise and a Strava exercise, triggering duplicate active calories and workout minutes on the Apple Watch activity. You need to check out with Strava if this is a wanted feature. This issue is cluttering all the tracking of activities, and makes the Strava sync extra feature that I payed for annoying.

We updated the app to look great on iPhone Duo, iPad or on your Mac using iPhone mirroring. Use the app on a wide screen and your surf map takes centre stage with sessions, spots and boards right beside it, making it super visual drilling down from your world wide surf map into your single best ever wave.
We also made heart-rate zones smarter. We're using your Health app's zones, with a live zone while you surf.
And your Apple Watch now gives you a session recap after your surf session*
