The result shows your score, how you did in each category and every term you missed with its definition; the misses go straight into Practise your mistakes. Share your result with your crew from the result screen. You will find the Exam at the bottom of the Quiz tab. Also in this release • Share a term as a picture. The share button on every term makes a card with the term, its definition and its diagram, ready for a message or a post. Free for everyone. • Practise your mistakes now spaces your reviews. A term you miss comes back the next day. Each time you get it right the gap grows, from a day to three days and then further; miss it again and it is back the next day. The Quiz tab tells you how many are due today. • By category, on your profile (Plus): your accuracy in each category from every quiz you have taken, weakest first, with a button that starts a practice round from the weakest one. • Your profile shows your progress from the start, with a way to your first quiz, instead of appearing only after one. • Practice modes now use every term in the dictionary even if you have not downloaded it. Until now they drew on the first hundred. • On iPad and other large screens in landscape, diagrams and term pictures now fit the screen instead of running off the bottom.

Word of the Day, on your Home Screen. Sailing Terms now has a widget. It shows today's term and its definition — the same word the app and the daily notification show, in the language you use — and changes every day on its own. Tap it to open the term. To add it: touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit and then Add Widget (the + button on older iOS versions), search for Sailing Terms and choose a size. The app has a short guide under Settings if you would like the steps with pictures. Also in this release • Three new practice modes for Plus. Find the part shows every diagram without its labels and asks where things are; Match pairs puts five terms against five definitions from the same corner of the boat; Lightning round is sixty seconds of as many as you can. Whatever you get wrong in any of them goes into Practise your mistakes, and your profile now shows your progress by mode. • Favourites, notification settings and quiz progress no longer stop saving after the app has been open for about a quarter of an hour. If yours did, they will now.

The diagrams have been redrawn. Every diagram is now a photograph — a boat at anchor, a sail, a knot in rope — with its labels drawn over the picture rather than baked into it. They are sharp at any size, on any screen, and selecting a part happens instantly instead of loading a fresh image each time. The diagrams list has proper cover images too, so it reads as a set rather than a column of cropped drawings. Because the labels are drawn rather than painted into the artwork, English and Turkish now share exactly the same picture. A correction to a label is a correction, not a redraw, and the diagrams take up noticeably less space when you download them for offline use. Also in this release • If some artwork fails to download — a weak signal partway through, usually — you can fetch just the missing images from Settings, instead of deleting the download and starting again. • The home screen no longer carries a short fixed list of terms that the dictionary already covers properly.

Offline access Download the terms, definitions and diagrams for your language and keep them on your device. Everything then works with no signal at all — searching, browsing by category, the diagrams and their labelled parts, and the quizzes. Useful on the water, on a plane, or anywhere the phone signal gives up. You can remove the download at any time and get the space back. Practice quiz A quiz built from the terms you have answered incorrectly before, so revision goes where it is actually needed rather than over the terms you already know. Questions are generated from the dictionary itself, and the set changes as you improve. No ads Plus removes advertising throughout the app. Restore purchases If you reinstall, change device, or bought before signing in, you can restore your purchase from the Settings screen at any time. Also in this release • You stay signed in when there is no connection, instead of being asked to sign in again at the worst possible moment. • Downloaded artwork is kept out of iCloud backups, so it does not count against your storage.
