I’ve seen some of the negative reviews complaining about grinding, playing matches and events, or the in-game store, but honestly, I don’t think this game is about greed at all.If you’re a new player, you might find it difficult at first to level up, grind for rewards, or progress through certain events. However, the more you play and progress, the better the rewards become, and the game gives you plenty of opportunities to earn things without constantly spending money.As for the game itself, I absolutely love the characters, the designs, and especially the different variants. There are also so many Marvel characters that I think could still be added to the game. I noticed this when I searched for Eternals character cards and found some characters who aren’t currently in the game, which makes me think there are still plenty of possibilities for future updates.Overall, I’d give this game a 10/10. I highly recommend it, especially if you’re a new Marvel fan. It’s a great way to discover characters you might not have known about before and become an even bigger Marvel nerd.

As a long time fan of games like Magic and Hearthstone, Snap is a great alternative which is engaging, fast, and strategic. Perfect for playing in bed on the weekends or playing on the bus on the way to work. I’ve never been a huge Marvel fan other than a casual MCU viewer, but Snap has encountered me to learn about more minor characters and has even tempted me to look into some comics as well.Monetisation is mixed, perfectly playable f2p, and the season passes are good value. Most other things in the store don’t have a great value proposition but I don’t mind spending 5-10 dollars on a cool variant once in a while. Very good game. For anyone who picks it up, I encourages you to stick with it as the game really opens up with complexity as you keep playing!
Great game plagued by greed

I’ve played this game since release and whilst the gameplay mechanics are superb the game is massively let down by poor card acquisition and unimaginable greed on the part of the developers. They are completely tone deaf and show very little regard, sometimes bordering on contempt, for the players. The in-game store regularly offers a single card (usually lacklustre) plus some currency for $80 or more! $80!!! Their latest event, Deadpool’s Diner, has artwork which actively mocks the concerns of the players and is a pretty toxic event in general as you are constantly bombarded by on-screen prompts to buy more gold whenever you lose your ‘bubs’.Card acquisition is pretty painful in general but for new players it would be a massive hurdle and they would be forced to compete on an uneven playing field once they reach a certain collection level. Until the devs change their behaviour and fix the problems plaguing this game I would 100% not recommend this game.
Long, slow, grind … to get no where

When you need cards to compete, have been playing 100’s of hours only to be awarded worthless tokens, dumb titles or variants of cards you hardly even use, then you realise this game is for the cash strapped players and not the ones who just want to play and be competitive.As you get further into it and think your making progress you vs players who dominate and there is simply no way to battle it. You stay stuck with the same decks taking 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Again, when you have enough credits to open a collectors reserve guess what you get … If your a Marvel fan it’s a ok game, but if you want to keep playing and have fun and compete I wouldn’t bother
