The app overall is great but l sometimes have a bug where l can’t access the app at all and it’s just stuck on the loading screen and doesn’t fix for a while
Frustrating flaws in basic function

When i downloaded the app i tried to create an account, but the “register” button just simply doesn’t work. I had to go to my laptop, create an account, then go back to the ipad and log in. The first time I set up the keyboard using bluetooth midi it worked just fine and i was able to play through several lessons. The next day the app no longer recognises that my keyboard is connected to the ipad (it is, bluetooth paired, properly connected) and I cannot re-set it up. The “help” function says to set up through Garage Band. That’s annoying as I don’t want to use that app and I didn’t need to when I first connected. The lessons are great (the only reason i give it 2 stars) but these basic problems make it unusable.

Hi Citygirl1,Thanks for checking out Playground Sessions. We looked into the account creation bug you ran into and just pushed the fix. Thank you for persevering in order to create an account.Have you tried connecting your iPad to your keyboard via a cable? While it’s less convenient, our testing has shown it to be more reliable. Ultimately, we would like to provide an easier way for those with Bluetooth MIDI-capable keyboards to use them with Playground Sessions.
Functional but a shadow of the macOS/PC app

The app does what it says, there is the occasional MIDI related glitch but nothing serious What is quite disappointing however is how many features are missing compared to macOS/PC app, you don’t get a dashboard to see your progress, you can’t purchase songs (not even with credits), the instructions even ask you to “click” on notes to hear them which obviously doesn’t work The app takes a tad too long to load the lesson list and always goes back to the same position no matter which list and lesson you’re in and finally you can’t even resize the left lesson category column to fit the wordsAll in all it seems the app is largely deserted with the last version being 3 years ago (shocking!)
