• All settings in one place: press ⌘, or choose ‘Settings…’ in the menu bar menu. • Open Cheese! again from Spotlight or the Applications folder and you get a button for every kind of screenshot. • Zoom in the editor: click the percentage for fit, 100%, 150% or 200%. The window grows along; anything that doesn’t fit scrolls with two fingers or the scroll wheel. • Backdrop around a window: the black edges on the corners are gone, and corners stay exactly as round as the window itself. • The menu bar (Capture, Edit) responds right away again after a screenshot, and the editor always comes to the front. • With a second display, the editor opens at the right size. • After an update, Cheese! briefly shows what’s new.

• macOS 27: window captures no longer have black corners. • Screen recording permission not granted yet? Cheese! now explains what is needed, with a button to System Settings, instead of showing an empty desktop.

• New: scrolling screenshot (⌃⇧6). Pick a window or drag an area, scroll through it yourself and Cheese! stitches the frames into one long image. • New: copy text straight off your screen to the clipboard (⌃⇧7) — no screenshot, no editor. • New: option to copy every fresh screenshot to the clipboard right away. • Shortcuts: the display was wrong (⌃⇧% instead of ⌃⇧5), a combination already claimed by the system was silently ignored, and while recording one Cheese! sometimes took a screenshot instead of assigning the key. All three fixed. • Cheese! can no longer run twice; launching it again simply opens the window.

• "Blur sensitive" now automatically detects much more: faces, IBANs, credit card numbers, API keys and addresses — alongside emails, phone numbers and amounts. Everything happens on your own Mac; nothing ever leaves your computer. • New: choose your redaction style — pixelated blur or a solid black bar. • New: Recent screenshots — reopen your last five captures from the menu bar icon or the clock button in the editor, even if you closed without saving. • Face detection now also finds small faces in large screenshots.

• New: a short introduction on first launch. It shows where Cheese! lives (in your menu bar), takes care of the screen recording permission and lets you pick your shortcuts. You can always revisit it from the menu bar icon under "Show introduction…". • Opening Cheese! again now always shows a window: your open work, or otherwise the introduction.

• New: adjust annotations after you have drawn them. Choose "Select" (or press Esc), click an arrow, box or text, and change its color, thickness or size. • Fixed: the edit window could end up behind other windows with no way to bring it back. The menu bar icon now also has "Show edit window".

Fixed an issue where the app could quit unexpectedly when capturing a selected area.
