Dear Devs lolLove your app! 🙆🏻‍♀️💕 thank you for making an app like this. Concept was superb 😁 it’s really nice to connect to different sorts of people from different parts of the world the semi-traditional way! I also liked the update on avatars haha I love customizing my avas so 👍🏻 for that!But I have a request, maybe a suggestion, however you might take it. So recently, I got loads of letters and it’s overwhelming. I wanted to take my time replying so my letters would be worth reading at least. Case is, I’m not always connected to the internet, and since I have long commutes to university I thought that it would’ve been nice to write replies while I’m just being idle at PUJs here. So Devs, please please please, can you make a feature where the letters we receive would be available offline too? Maybe we can download it, or chose to save/pin it until we can respond to it?Thank you and more power to your team! 😊

Apps like Slowly are hard to find. They are rare diamonds in the sea of jewels. I’m glad I got to find such app. For me, it’s not just an app that lets you meet people, talk to them for a while, and just leave everything and move one to someone else. Slowly helped me get pass those horrible awkwardness and uncertainty when talking to someone new (well, it’s rather “sending a letter” to someone new...) It also helped me express myself through letters. It helped me be cautious with the words I pick and it opened my eyes to different kinds of people. To me, Slowly is more than just an app. It built my character, added knowledge to me about the world, and it gave me friends that are literally worth WAITING for (a reply). Thank you, Slowly!

I wanted to love this app because the concept is genuinely refreshing, creative, and different from every other social platform. Writing letters, collecting stamps, and waiting for messages makes connecting with people feel much more meaningful.Unfortunately, the actual experience doesn’t live up to the idea anymore. It seems like majority of users seem to be inactive or simply ghost after receiving your letter. You can spend a long time writing a thoughtful message, wait hours or even days for it to arrive, only for it to sit in someone’s inbox forever without even a simple acknowledgment.The positive reviews don’t seem to reflect the actual state of the community. It feels like the active user base has significantly declined, making it difficult to form genuine connections, which is supposed to be the app’s main purpose. Features like stamps and customization are great, but they’re not enough when there are so few meaningful interactions now.I wouldn’t recommend investing a lot of time writing long letters unless you’re prepared for them to go unread or ignore or barely acknowledged. The concept is amazing, but the execution is disappointing in its current state. I sincerely hope the developers find a way to encourage more active users, reduce inactive accounts, or improve matching, because the app has so much potential. Until then, it feels like more time is spent waiting than actually connecting with people.

What’s New: • Drawing Tool: Add a personal touch to your letters by creating and attaching your own drawings. • Goodbye Letters: Encourages you to send a farewell letter before deleting your account or removing a pen pal. • Pen Pal Stamp Stores: Plus members can switch to a pen pal’s local Stamp Store and discover regional stamps from around the world.
