This is a massive update. It’s still the same app, just… better and even more beautiful than before. ## Liquid Glass This version fully embraces Liquid Glass. We updated the app across the board, including but not limited to: - The library, dashboard, group editors, Quick Open, toolbars, buttons, popovers for images, links, annotations, etc. etc. - We even updated the app icon to match the new look. ## Menus We reworked both the main menu and many context menus. - Typewriter Mode is gone; you can now just activate the line marker or fixed scrolling or… leave it off. - The Markup Bar is now either on or off (no more “automatic”). - You can now auto-hide the toolbar in full screen. - You can now select themes from the View menu. - Markup menus for paragraph and text are now available via the editor context menu (yay!). ## Revision Mode is just another tab We moved our advanced text check (aka Revision Mode) into the main dashboard. - You now simply activate the tab to initiate a check. - The check will continue if you switch to another sheet. - To end the check, just deselect the tab. ## Editor Focus is now “Hide Interface” - Hit CMD-. to get an editor-only view. - Hit CMD-. again to show the rest of the interface. - You’ll love this. ## Swipe Gestures - Gestures now need to happen over the editor, otherwise they won’t work. - Gestures are side-aware; swipe at the right side to show/hide the dashboard, for example. ## Improved keyboard navigation We completely reworked keyboard navigation. This resulted in TWO new default themes. - D26 builds on the system palette and utilizes the new styling options. - D26 Mono is a toned-down version for monospaced fonts. ## App Intents We revamped our integration with Spotlight and the Shortcuts app. On macOS 26, actions can now be triggered directly from Spotlight. This version introduces a couple of changes to the Library: - The iCloud section is now called “Notes”. - The On My Device section is now called “Notes (On My Device)”. - You can now swap the Projects and Notes sections via drag & drop. - You can now hide (and show) the Projects Archive via the section menu. - You can now hide the global filter section (this will add an “All” filter in the Notes section). - The Inbox now displays a sheet counter by default (you can disable this). - You can now hide the Trash, as long as it’s empty. - You can now decide whether the contents of your projects should appear in the global filters (All, Last 7 Days). - We have removed the Introduction section from the library; the intro was painfully outdated, and all of its relevant content is now available via our Help Center. Fixes: - Fixed a weird bug where the editor would always scroll to the top, whenever a Chinese character was entered at the end of a line. - Fixed an issue with publishing to WordPress , if the sheet contained images with special characters. - Fixed some strange results when reordering groups via drag & drop. ## Incoming Links (aka Backlinks) The Dashboard now shows a list of sheets that link to the current sheet. - You can jump to the corresponding sheet. - You can also jump to the actual link(s) inside that sheet. ## Date Correction The Dashboard can now show the creation and modification dates of the current sheet. - You can adjust the creation date. - You cannot adjust the modification date. ## Attachments in Overview The Dashboard now shows all note and image attachments in the Overview pane. - Reminder: You can drag text from the editor (or anywhere else) to the Dashboard to create a note. ## Critical Fix We have fixed an issue which could lead to an empty library after a system update, or after setting up a new device. We’re aware that this was a shocking experience for those affected, even if nothing was actually lost (the original library was “set aside” for some reason, and a new, empty one, was displayed instead). If you’re still having this issue, don’t hesitate to contact our support team. ## Other Improvements and Fixes - When publishing to WordPress, marked text is now exported as… a marked text. - When exporting as ePub, links in our Table of Contents now actually link to… the contents. - Our exporters are now better at handling sheets with large images. - We now support equations in TextBundle files inside external folders, so: {external [text (equation) bundle] folder}=1. - And we fixed a couple of obscure crashes and bugs (for example, we fixed a crash in the crash reporter, which sounds funny, but really wasn’t; ok, it was kinda funny).
