Playing around with the free version still. Recommends popular trails around me. The routes are pretty accurate too. I am sure the subscribers experience would be more detailed. Will need to use a few more times to say more with confidence about the app, but thus far seems dependable and sufficiently detailed.

Was expecting more from a paid hiking app. There’s actually not much more you can’t get from Strava or Google Maps. The friends connectivity is limited, uploading images to share is tough, getting honest reviews from other hikers can’t see all comments. Also, the filtering is horrible. Think to think how difficult it is to find an easy hike on a raining day for a family, with a half decent description of the actual trail. App defaults to your location, there’s no wet option or terrain filter, or even a family friendly filter. Lastly, accuracy of start-finish is not correct. Don’t waste your money on the All Trails App unless you fit the exact mould the App owners are looking for…

Have the pro version that allowed me to download the map offline. Very accurate and helped me get back in track after I got lost a couple of times.

When I signed up for the trial, I was informed that I would be informed before the charge was put through. However, I was charged without warning. So essentially, money was taken from me without my agreement. The app is so-so. When I tried it, the downloading of trails and tracking was not good. The trail was closed half way because the river has diverted, but the app did not provide an option to capture this.

AllTrails is really the best app for hiking. Great assessment of the trails around the world and works perfectly offline. I do not hike anymore without it!

Hitting start on a route accidentally will stop your apple watch workout without warning; search function barely works and offline map is a paid feature so good luck if you get lost in a remote atea

The path might have been nice once, but both the map and the trail offered are showing many trail that do not exist anymore. You need to check your route with another source if you want avoid massive detours
