The game is marketed as a slice of life mobile game like the SIMs where you work hard at odd jobs and have hobbies in Sunday City. What the ads leave out is the premise of the game: casino chips. The game runs on casino chips and it's not even disguised as a cute gacha machine. Players are guided to a casino in the tutorial to play the slot machines. As with other gambling games, they give the player a starting amount to bet and the player is guaranteed a jackpot at the end of the tutorial. While pulling, the player earns money and job tokens to... do the jobs that were marketed in the ad. This comes off as insidious as one would not know that Sunday City centres around gambling. It's not listed anywhere in the game's description on the App Store either. In some countries, there may be a 18+ warning but most countries do not have this yet. For impressionable kids, the game teaches them to gamble while jobs are a side hustle/hobby. It's sick. Outside of the moral dilemma, any player who isn't addicted to gaming would stay on it for long. Everything is repeatable, it's a constant rinse repeat, gamble > job > upgrade > gamble > job > upgrade with the occasional side quest of a mini game by the beach. The art also looks incredibly AI generated and stiff. All in all, I wouldn't be surprised if Sunday City was built with a heavy helping hand from AI. The game looks pretty and runs fairly smoothly, but it is a soulless shell with a dark agenda. I was genuinely excited to play this as I was a fan of kefir's games but this is shady af. I would give this a 0* but the minimum is 1*. Do better, kefir.

Love this game, it brings joy to the day. Hopefully in the near future updates there will be like a sports activities that we can do like basketball or soccer and also introduce luxury penthouses, beach mansions, and private islands that players can buy with their millions, complete with interactive furniture and customizable garage showrooms. 1 more thing , expand the pet system so players can breed unique animal companions with distinct traits, stats, and cosmetics, then enter them into friendly, arcade-style pet agility or combat tournaments.

this game has so much potential, but would be way better if players could buy a house/apartment and decorate it, and also have a pointer to location selected bc the map is big which is good but sometimes its hard to find the place like jobs to do etc. also noticed that there are alot of restaurants that are unusable but would be nicer if we could enter buildings that are just not casino and businesses
