Duolingo is the best language learning app, I have learned spanish and more languages really quickly. I love how you have striks because it motivates you to do the lesson every day so you don’t lose it. I am doing duolingo every day I am super motivated and enjoy it. Its a shame that if you waste all of the hearts and you are not premium you have to wait BUT it gives you the thinking so before you choose you have to think about it what you click. And the most important we learn from mistakes and its really fun that at the end you can redo the mistakes. 💗💗💗

I’ve used Duolingo for a really long time now in before the update it was let’s say okay learning app it had the heart in you lost a heart when you made a mistake, but now even if you don’t make a mistake, you will lose a battery. Your daily battery is 25 batteries and if you make a mistake in the lesson you will lose even more batteries so to finish a lesson you are most likely to use all your batteries. It’s not fair and after each lesson you have a ad that promotes to buy Duolingo super which cost US$60 per year or $13 per month.!!! before I had the chance to learn quickly different languages but now I deleted the app it’s really changed when they introduce the AI to the game. It’s really unfair to the users. I was off-line from the game for let’s say a year for personal reasons and now when I downloaded it this it was trash. I know this is really harsh, but I think I could learn a language faster with ChatGPT than Duolingo!!!

I've been on Duolingo for the second year. I have now extended my subscription to the full family package for a year! However; I have paid for the Family package, but I do not have the option to include any family members in my circle of users. They deleted the only option that made me pay for the family package. Everyone who was in this package last year has been disconnected. means I paid the discounted price for only one user, me. No one responds to my notification and complaint and does not fix the error. But I don't think it's a mistake. This is a 100% increase in the cost of using the app. Even otherwise, no one responds to complaints regarding various technical problems. I'm disappointed, they don't have refunds for bad work either. I am looking for another language learning app. Sorry!!

I've used this app every day for the last 6 years and it's been amazing. But in the newest update they introduced hearts which they use to monetize the app. Previously you were able to learn from your mistakes and now you have to be extra careful not to do any mistake or you lose your hearts and you have to either watch the ads, practice or upgrade to a PRO account. Speaking exercises also don't always work and it takes one heart after your phone does not recognize anything three times. For the last six years I would recommend this app to all of my friends, now I would not.

Hi, I think that Duolingo is absolutely AWESOME, just a few stuff that could be better: i really don’t like the new energy update, because energy dissapears really quickly and I can’t do my daily quests. Also the ADS! I mean they are cute and everything but after every single lesson? Really?And the last tiny thing, is that maybe they shouldn’t put minutes of learning on daily quests because some people put screen limits and can actually do a lot lessons really quick.Well anyways… I still think apart those things Duo is THE BEST LEARNING APP EVER!🥰🥰🥳

With the Aug’22 update all the path changed. This is against the learning in a structured way. I have been at mid of level 7 where there were 10 chapters. Now i am at 73 of 220. Also found myself in an irrelevant topic. Please provide the previous interface for the users who are already using the app. Previous comment:When i started few months earning xp and using it for tests were easier. Now it changed to gems where a free test is jumped from 15 xp to 200 gems but earning rate remained same. And we continue to spend time by watching ads. Probably soon i will be out of gems and will have to pay or quit & waste your months of training.

The newest update on November 22nd has been awful. Duolingo already became way too greedy once they removed the “practice for hearts” option unless you were at 0 (for free users), which defies the purpose of being able to learn from one’s mistakes when learning a new language! How stupid is that!! You already have enough people paying for Duolingo max. I certainly will NOT be supporting this greedy scam of a company. Even Duolingo Max users get ads! Furthermore, we can’t even directly see our profiles anymore, and instead they’re shoving down our throats the Duolingo Max ad on the menu. Absolutely despicable and disgraceful behaviour. 1 star; I would give 0 if I could. Staff at Duolingo, do better.

The new "crown" system that was forced down our throats without even updating the app is disastrous. Firstly, you have taken away the "decaying" of lessons, where we could see which ones we should revisit, if we wanted to, of course; secondly, you have taken away the possibility to see which words are there to learn in each lesson, which was a valuable tool by itself; thirdly, you removed the option to test out of a lesson if you already knew the content; and finally, as for gamification, I see no fun or value in repeating basic lessons over and over again, or forcing us to progress exactly in a way you envisioned for the app. With single stupid move you brought down Duolingo from the best language learning app to sub-mediocracy. Great job!

I have had Duolingo for a couple of years now. I have also always had a subscription. Currently i have Max, which is as high as it gets. But still, Duolingo has decided to try and push me to go for family which is just too much (very bad taste since i don’t have a family). Even though I am a paying customer they decided to implement a GUI change which is very annoying. They replaced one of 6 buttons on the bottom row with a “get a family plan” button and moved two useful buttons in a group (which means they require two clicks). So for no reason other than pure greed they annoy their customers and worsen their experience. I wonder what is next :(.

Up until now I would have given 5 stars. But the previous update completely changed my Korean course. The changed all the lessons that I already did-as in added a lot of words and phrases that weren’t there before and now I can’t continue as I don’t have a clue what’s going on. And they only give the option to remove the course and then start it again, but I’ve completed the alphabet that took me a long time and if I remove the course I would need to start everything. I don’t understand why can’t you just restart the lesson. I loved learning Korean, but now I’ve lost the passion for it as I’m lost completely.
