Great app. It brings important features for those who want to train based on the metrics like recovery, target exertion etc. I hope that the suggested workouts will soon offer a deeper integration with Apple Workout app (i.e. pushing stuctured runs). That would be awesome.

New:
Structured Workouts
Build a structured workout, or import one from a screenshot, and send it to your Apple Watch: warm-up, repeats, rests, and cool-down with pace, zone, or heart rate targets. Structured workouts can be found in the Exertion detail area by tapping to Customize a workout.
More Siri integration!
Siri can now explain more of your Athlytic insights!
* Ask “How has my stress been today in Athlytic?” for a report highlighting higher and lower stress periods when enough readings are available.
* Ask “Why is my Recovery high today in Athlytic?” to hear how your HRV and resting heart rate compare with your baselines, along with relevant Journal context.
* While viewing supported screens, ask “Explain this in Athlytic” for insights into Battery, Steps, Energy, Cycle, Health vitals, Training Load, and Weight.
* Ask Siri to explain a Journal tag’s Recovery and Sleep comparisons, including what those associations mean.
* Get an explanation of a planned workout’s estimated effort and how it could contribute to your daily Exertion.
* Ask Siri to summarize the Recovery, Sleep, Exertion, or workout you’re viewing, including a particular workout in your list.
Improvements:
Running: See how your heart rate compares at similar running speeds, with new insights on the Speed card and in Apple Intelligence workout summaries.
Tap a bar on the Recovery Trend chart to see the HRV and resting heart rate behind that day's score.
Trim Workout has been rebuilt: drag right on the heart rate chart to set where your workout really ended, fine tune to the second, and change it again later if you went too far. It should work much more reliably now. Note that you can only trim workouts that you log with the Athlytic Apple Watch App - Apple doesn't permit apps to edit workouts it didn't save into Apple Health.
Multisport workouts from Apple's Workout app, like triathlons, now show as Multisport with their own icon and count toward your weekly cardio, instead of appearing as Other. More to come here in future updates! ;)
Pilates, yoga, barre and tai chi now count toward your weekly strength-training days, in line with WHO and NHS guidance.
Daily Average Battery bar chart now shows values.
iOS 27 gives a new ability to limit Apple Health Access to only 30 days. Because many of Athlytic's features require queries beyond 30 days, If you've limited Athlytic's access, the app now tells you which data is affected and how to restore full access.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where the Net Energy widget could show a previous day’s calories instead of resetting for the new day.
Fixed Macro Analysis showing more than 60 days of data when 60 Days was selected, and corrected Energy averages to match the selected period.
Fixed the time label overlapping the battery reading on the Daily Battery watch widget.
Fixed faint or missing labels on the Sleep vs Target Sleep, Athlytic Age and six-month Health charts in iOS 27.
Attempted to fix crashes that might occur for users on older versions of watchOS.
Some other minor fixes and optimizations.

All new Sleep Stages iPhone Widget! See a new chart of your sleep stages, sleep times, duration, and stage times. Widget is available in large and medium.
Also new Sleep Stages coaching under the Sleep Stage Chart in the App.
Improvements:

Improved Apple Intelligence Workout Analysis.

Also on the Share Cards adding a photo won't remove the Map Share Card.
Improved Heart Rate Recovery accuracy and no-data handling after workouts.

26.5.4 14 Aug
Improvements:
Redesigned Share Cards
Swipe through cards built for the workout you did - route map, summary, Effort, pace with your splits, heart rate, or something minimal. From the Today tab, share your Recovery, Exertion, or last night's sleep.
- Sized for Stories (9:16) and posts (4:5)
- Drop your own photo behind any card
- Map share card includes a button to switch from standard to satellite
Bug Fixes:
- For those running iOS 27 betas, fixed an issue with steps data. It's actually an Apple bug but came up with a work around and filed a Feedback for Apple to hopefully fix before iOS 27 is officially released. (Note this is just a temporary fix until Apple fixes it on their end, because of this steps data might not look exactly as it does in Apple Health until they fix it).
- Stress watch complication: Fixed the watch complication going stale or disappearing from the watch face. It now always displays, even before your first reading of the day.
- Steps widget: Fixed the watch Steps widget not updating on iOS 27 beta.
- Body Composition chart: Lean mass and body fat now get their own auto-scaled charts, so your changes are actually visible instead of flattened on a 0-100 scale.
- Battery: Optimized background work scheduling to reduce battery use.

BIG UPDATE!
New:
Workout Suggestion Customization
You can now fine-tune the Workout Suggestions on the Exertion screen to fit how you want to train today! Tap Customize on any suggestion to adjust the intensity, duration, or workout type, and watch the projected Exertion update live so you can land squarely in your Target range.
Plan up to 3 workouts for the day...projected Exertion stacks across all of them, so split sessions or pairing strength with cardio are easy to plan ahead.
Planned and completed workouts will now be referenced on the home screen as well.
New Weekly Energy widget for iPhone
See your last 7 days of calories burned and consumed side by side on your Home Screen. Daily bars highlight deficits and surpluses at a glance, with a clear weekly net total at the top. Available in medium and large widget sizes.
New daily Steps chart
The Steps screen now opens with a daily chart that breaks your steps down hour by hour, so you can see exactly when you were active throughout the day. It also compares your progress against your usual pace for this day of the week, showing whether you're on pace, ahead, or behind by this point in the day. It's a quick way to know if you're on track to hit your goal, or if you should squeeze in a walk before the day's done.
Improvements:
Refreshed overall design!
Ask Athlytic using Apple Intelligence has been MUCH improved. The other Apple Intelligence features such as Journal and Workout Insights should be improved as well.
New watch setting to turn off the haptic when you complete a mile or km during runs and walks.
I also spent a lot of time this update making sure that the design refreshes also support the highest accessibility dynamic text sizes. Please let me know if there are any screens that still may not be rendering well for you.
Added Hume as a sleep tracker.
Heart Rate Recovery now excludes both manual and auto workout pauses.
Bug Fixes:
Improved the accuracy of weekly Zone 2 and Zone 4+ minutes in Athlytic Age. (also removed the Beta tag).
Fixed an issue where Stress Notifications could fire right after a workout has ended but before it's saved in Apple Health.
Fixed an issue on Workout Comparison on the Progress Tab not respecting kj preference.
Attempted to fix a crash for users who tap on the Info Cards and their iPhone are set to a language other than English. Please let us know if you are still having this issue after updating!
And finally...I don't know if it was just me, but when tapping on a workout and waiting for the data to load, the heart rate card was always shrunken for a split second. Well this nightmare is finally over! =)

26.5.0 14 Jul
New:
New on Apple Watch: a live route map during outdoor workouts that you can swipe to between your stats screen and Now Playing. The map is also zoomable by rolling the digital crown! After you end the workout, the full route also appears on your post-workout summary and this chart is color coded for heart rate zones! Supported activity types: Running, Cycling, Hiking, Walking, Cross Country Skiing, Downhill Skiing, Snowboarding, Paddle Sports, Swimming, Wheelchair Run Pace, and Wheelchair Walk Pace.
Improvements:
Big accuracy pass on running workouts:
Splits now should match Apple Fitness within a second per mile. Auto-paused time at lights or breaks no longer counts against your splits, and pre-start GPS drift no longer inflates your first mile.
Pace Zones totals now match your actual run duration (we were silently dropping several minutes per run). Threshold pace is now estimated only from runs where you sustained a hard effort. If you haven't done one in 90 days, the card explains how to unlock it instead of guessing from easy runs.
Workout AI insights for the Splits section are now composed directly from your data, so the paces and mile numbers in that paragraph always match the chart.
3rd party wearable users (e.g. Ultrahuman ring, Garmin etc.) should now see its Blood Oxygen data.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue in Energy where logging future calories (e.g. planning a meal later in the day) will show up like they used to in Athlytic. (v26.4.4)
Apple Intelligence features such as Ask Athlytic now respect Metric preference.
Fixed an issue that might cause Training Load widgets from not matching Training Load in the iPhone app.
Fixed an issue where Stress Alerts might fire after a workout if there was more than 1 workout in the day.
Fixed a crash/hang that might occur when expanding the Top Efforts card in Workout Patterns.
Fixed the body weight overlay on the Weekly Energy chart so it now matches the selected time range (60 Days or 6 Months) instead of always showing 6 months.
Fixed an issue with the share card with a map when attempting to save the image to photos.

New:
Big New Feature: Ask Athlytic!
Ask Athlytic is now on the bottom of the home page home page! This feature requires Apple Intelligence and you can ask it anything about your data in Athlytic. Best of all, your data never leaves your device so the conversation is completely secure and private!
2 new Trends cards for Runners: Running Pace & Best Efforts (both require at least 5 runs in the past 60 days).
Improvements:
Weekly Energy card now has an option to show 6 months of data.
Apple Intelligence Workout Insights now reference pace and splits for running workouts.
Loading times should be a lot faster now when using RMSSD for HRV.
The height of the horizontal bars on the dashboard were increased.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a crash that might occur if your iPhone is in a language other than English when tapping on the info cards.
Fixed an issue where Pace zones might incorrectly show for non running workouts, and added a Power Zones card for cycling workouts.
Fixed an issue where Athlytic Age Trend might be slightly different than Athlytic Age for some users.
Fixed an issue where cards on the home screen might need to be tapped multiple times to navigate into the app.
Cycling workouts imported from Garmin Connect, Strava, Wahoo, Peloton, and other third-party sources now display Max and Average Speed correctly. Previously these workouts showed 0.0 kph because Athlytic only read per-second speed samples; now it falls back to the workout's summary speed when no time series is available.
Also fixed an issue with running split calculation.

Fixed a crash that might occur on the new Energy Burned Pace chart if you don't have any calorie data.
Also from 26.3.3:
New:
Energy Burned Pace shows how your calorie burn is tracking throughout the day compared to your usual pattern. A projected end-of-day total updates in real time based on your personal history. Found in the Energy tab under Today.
Training Load Ratio notification, if enabled, will now notify you when your Training Load Ratio is High.
Improvements:
-Daily Report notification should now fire soon after waking up.
-Target Exertion notification now fires both when Target minimum has been reached but now also when Target max has been exceeded.
-Health Alert Notifications should fire more reliably and text has been improved.
-HRV Coefficient of Variation (in Training Adaptation) has been renamed HRV Stability to help make it more understandable. Also the rating has been changed to stable, more stable, or less stable.
-Swimming, water fitness, paddle sports, or underwater diving, water lock now enables automatically right after the workout session starts.

-Fixed a bug that arose in the last update attempting to fix HR issues for WorkoutDoors users but seems to have created a larger bug for 3rd party apps and heart rates and HRR so reverted that code. Please let us know if these are solved.
-(hopefully) fixed an issue where initial loading of the app might hang.
-Fixed an issue where the steps card on the dashboard might show stale data in some instances.
-Fixed an issue on the Steps Heat Map showing black tiles for certain days
-Fixed an issue where the RHR chart in health may not look correct if you didn't wear your watch for an entire day

BIG Workout Suggestion Refresh
Workout Suggestions has been completely redesigned to deliver smarter, more personalized recommendations that better reflect how you actually train.
Body Region Tracking
For the following workouts, you can now choose whether the focus was Upper Body, Lower Body, Core, or Full Body when viewing workout details. This helps improve training balance and ensures workout suggestions better account for recovery needs across muscle groups.
Supported workouts include:
• Functional Strength Training
• Traditional Strength Training
• High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
• Cross Training
• Mixed Cardio
• Flexibility
• Pilates
For all other workouts, muscle impact is automatically accounted for (for example, running and cycling primarily target lower body, while rowing emphasizes upper body).
If you prefer not to use body region tracking, you can disable it anytime by turning off “Show Training Focus” in the More tab.
Additional Workout Suggestion Improvements
• Coaching hints now explain why specific workouts are recommended
• A “Matches Today’s Focus” label highlights workouts aligned with your recommended training focus
• Zone guidance shows how many minutes to spend in each heart rate zone
• On low recovery days, suggestions prioritize gentle mind & body workouts such as yoga
• New users receive starter workout suggestions until enough personal history is built
Today Tab, Trends Tab, and Workout Customization
You can now customize the layout of the Today Tab (dashboard), the Trends Tab, and individual workout detail screens. Each screen includes a Customize button at the bottom, allowing you to rearrange elements in the order that works best for you.
Other New Features
• Snowboarding and Downhill Skiing workouts now include speed, distance, and route maps
• The Workout Calendar now compares your workout count to the same day from last month
Bug Fixes and Optimizations
• Initial app loading is approximately 15% faster
• Improved Apple Intelligence insights within workout details
• Smoother scrolling when selecting days on the calendar
• Improved scrolling performance in workout detail views
• Fixed an issue where Cardio Fitness could display as 0 after certain Watch workouts
• Fixed cases where the Watch Exertion Widget Target Exertion did not match the iPhone app
• Fixed an issue where deleting a workout did not immediately update the Day Summary widget
Thanks!

Vital Health Metrics on Apple Watch
Your vital health metrics are now available directly in the Apple Watch app—plus as a large rectangular watch widget/complication for quick access.
Note: Blood Oxygen isn’t queryable on certain Apple Watch models and may require a sync from iPhone. Because of this, you may occasionally see different values on iPhone and Apple Watch until they sync again.
Athlytic Age Insights
Track your Athlytic Age vs. your chronological age over time with a brand-new trend chart.
Plus, new coaching highlights what’s helping keep you young—and where there’s room to improve.
Smarter Sleep, Stress & Battery Coaching
Sleep, Current Stress, and Battery coaching have been dramatically improved with much smarter, more personalized insights tailored to your data.
Fixes & Improvements
• The views below Athlytic Age are now properly ordered based on their weighting (e.g., RHR, Body Fat, Steps, and more)
• Additional minor bug fixes and performance optimizations

BIG updates to Health!
New option to export your health data in a Health Report that you can share with your doctor, healthcare provider or anyone else. You'll find it located in the share button on the top right of health. (Remember: Athlytic is not providing medical advice but highlighting your health data in Apple Health so that your medical professional can interpret it!)
All 5 health metric charts now also go back 6 months so you can see how you're trending over a much longer time frame. These 6 month charts are also exportable via the new health report!
And since we feel that your Health metrics are so critically important, like the existing Health features, these new features are free to all users as well!
Athlytic Age Trend!
You can now see a chart of your Athlytic Age vs your Chronological Age at bottom of the health tab!
Share Card Refresh
The share cards (found either by tapping on the share icon on the top right of the home screen and top right of the individual workout screen) have received a design refresh, and will formats automatically to IG story size.
Fixes:
-Fixed an issue where 3rd party apps would write duplicate heart rates which would populate into Athlytic
-For voice over users, fixed an issue when tapping on steps on the home screen and also made dismissal of the info cards more intuitive.
Thanks!

Quick update for some tiny fixes to the new Workout comarison features:
-Fixed an issue where users who prefer the metric system were only seeing miles instead of km on the distance comparison card. This is correctly displaying on the year in review card.
-Calories or kilojoules on the comparison card will include a comma for values more than 3 digits.
-Weekly streaks will not reset to 0 until an entire week has passed without a workout.
Also from version 26.2.2:
Workout tab glow-up: a much needed refresh of the workout comparisons! You will now see a Progress and History toggle. Your workout summaries and comparisons now live in the Progress toggle. Progress will show a calendar marking your active days and weekly streaks, a Top Efforts card where you can select to view Top Efforts by month, year, and all time, as well as cards for number of workouts, duration, distance, and energy burned where you can view comparisons for the current week, month, or year. Lastly, you can view your previous month recap of stats at the end of the Progress screen. Under the History toggle lives your workout history that you can now sort by workout type and/or year.
Great work on this Jaclyn! My favorite part is being able to see my highest Efforts ever! Note: this feature is tied to the number of workouts you want loaded and can be set in the More tab. The default is your last 1000 workouts but you can load up to 3000 if you want (you may be a slightly longer load time though). Also note that if you do increase the workouts you want loaded, go back to the home screen and pull down to refresh before going to the Workout tab.
Finally we also added a yearly recap of your workouts in 2025, showing your workout highlights of the past year.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where today's average daily Stress might not match the weekly chart below it.
Fixed an issue where Suggested Workouts might look squished when using larger text sizes.
Fixed an issue where you still might receive a High Stress Notification if you had previously turned it on then turned it off in Notification settings in the More tab.
A few other minor visual bug fixes.
Thanks!

Quick update to fix an issue where some users with longer workouts might have HR Zone times that didn't add up to the total duration of the workout. Also fixed an issue that could affect maps on certain workouts.
Also the restore purchase button now should not require force quitting and opening to unlock, it should immediately unlock if you have an active subscription.
Thanks!

BIG update for Steps!
Steps are now at the bottom of the home screen (moving from Trends) and show where you are today relative to your Step Goal (you can set your Step Goal in the More Tab, the default is 10,000). You can then tap on the card to see the detailed Steps Card showing your weekly, 30 day, and 60 day step totals.
New Feature: Daily Heart Rate Per Steps! Below the Steps Detail Card, you will now see a new Feature Called Daily Heart Rate Per Steps (DHRPS). DHRPS is based on your 60 day daily resting heart rate as well as your 60 day average steps per day, and provides an indication of your cardiovascular efficiency. So for example a lower resting heart rate and a high average daily step count will equal better cardiovascular efficiency and a lower signal of cardiac risk and other risks such as diabetes and stroke. You can read more about DHRPS in the info card at the bottom of the screen.
There is also an all new Steps Calendar View on the steps card letting you better visualize the days you've hit your step goal. It's also tappable to see your steps for a given day.
Cycle Phase Widgets!
3 New Menstrual Cycle Phase Widgets (small, medium, and large) have been added so you can now track your Cycle right from your Home Screen.
New Journal Tags
10 New Tags have been added to the Journal: Antibiotic, Anxious, Cortisone, Depressed, Fever, Infrared Sauna, Manual Labor, Plasma Donation, Steroid, and Yard Work.
HRR Added to Athlytic Age
Heart Rate Recovery has been added as an additional component of Athlytic Age. Like VO2 Max, only higher intensity workouts are counted.
Other updates:
-Fixed an issue where age might be incorrect for users who's iPhone uses the Buddhist calendar
-Daily Average Charge (Battery), Average Daily Stress, Average Sleep Stress, and Average Waking Stress charts when tapped, will now show day of the week in addition to the date.
-Average Steps now has a comma
Thanks!
