TRACE OVER IMAGES
When drawing your own designs, you can show an image in the background. This can be super helpful as a reference to trace over. You can also show the original image after converting a photo, which makes tidying up your patterns even easier.
MAKE YOUR MASTERPIECE
Once your pattern is finished and you’re ready to get stitching, simply press play. You can view your pattern in the app, highlight symbols and mark stitches as completed using the progress tracker.

Can I use Stitchly for needlepoint?
Yes. Many of our customers use the Stitchly app to create both cross stitch and needlepoint patterns. When using the app for needlepoint, just treat each square as one canvas intersection.
Is Stitchly an alternative to Stitch Fiddle?
Yes. Stitchly is an app, whereas Stitch Fiddle is an online platform. Stitchly is not affiliated with Stitch Fiddle.

- Added a setting for increasing the maximum pattern size (Settings... > Advanced Settings > Max Pattern Size > 500)
- Added more cursive fonts to the Add Text feature: Dancing Script, Pacifico, Lobster
- Added a 'Freehand' backstitch mode for drawing continuous backstitch lines (on the editing screen, press the stitch type button > Settings button > Backstitches > Freehand)
- Added a 'Freehand' cut and paste mode for non-rectangular selections (on the editing screen, press and hold the cut or copy button > Freehand)
- Added a 'Clean Up' brush for cleaning up isolated pixels after converting an image (on the editing screen, press and hold the paintbrush button > Clean Up)
- Added a PDF setting for entering a custom number of stitches per page (Export > PDF > Settings button > Stitches Per Page > Custom Size)
- Added a setting for how single stitches are counted in the pattern (Settings... > Single Stitch > Full Cross / Half Cross > 'Half Cross' would be used for needlepoint)
- You can now rotate the image when tracing it (Menu > Image... > Change Position > Zoom and rotate the image using two fingers, or you can use the rotate buttons)
