You can also make cutout letters that let the photo show through. There are separate coloured backgrounds for words and an iOS-style highlight. Try everything on your own text and choose a colour I added new film filters and photo effects: ribbed and fogged glass, prisms, digital distortion, and motion blur. You can now open filters right inside the “Text on Photo” editor, edit the background photo, and keep the lettering where it is I upgraded collages. You can now add cells of different shapes to your own grid, resize them, and rotate them with two fingers. You can also adjust the spacing between cells: place photos right next to each other or leave more room between them “My Style” has arrived in carousels. Your saved fonts, colours, text styles, images, and watermarks can now be used on slides too. It’s easier to give the whole carousel your own style I gathered AI filters and styles in one catalogue. Choose a design, add a photo, and set the format for the image you want to create. Finished results are collected in one gallery, so they’re easier to find again If you don’t know what to write, the AI assistant in the “Text on Photo” editor will suggest post ideas. Choose one you like, adjust the draft to make it yours, and add the text to your photo as separate paragraphs. Each paragraph can be positioned separately There’s now a cache-clearing option in Settings. You can delete temporary copies of images, stickers, and AI image previews to free up space on your phone. Hi! Fresh update just landed ◕‿◕ New home screen. I rebuilt the first screen from scratch: shortcuts to your favourite tools up top, rails of fresh templates and AI styles below. The "Start with a photo" button is always within reach, and a source picker now floats above the gallery — gallery or files. You can switch back to the old design in Settings any time Favourites. There's a separate tab now: drop tools, AI styles and templates in there so you never have to hunt for them again. Long-press any card and it's saved Tool search. It now searches the whole app and groups results by category. It understands synonyms too: type "cut out background" and it finds "Background Removal" The AI assistant moved onto a single screen. The whole idea catalogue is right in front of you, a new prompt library, and the "Ask a question" button sits under your thumb. I also fixed a pile of small things: the disappearing "Recent" section, the chat resetting when you close it "Text on photo" got easier to use. Quick actions right in the layer toolbar — text on a curve, eraser, size matching; one tap makes every text the same size or font. I've completely reworked the section: there are loads more ready-made templates now to suit every taste, and everything runs more smoothly and quickly. Put together a collage from photos and videos in a couple of taps Text behind objects. I've brought new wrap effects to Draw with Text: text in a spiral, in waves, in lines or in rays now wraps straight AROUND a person or object - as if it's tucking in behind them. The background is cut out right on your phone, no internet needed. Pick an effect in the lovely new menu with previews - and you're done Saving text along a curve is more flexible now - there's a new export menu: either the whole image, or just the text as a transparent PNG, so you can stick it anywhere In Text on Photo I've added brush drawing - a regular brush, a neon glow, glitter and even an emoji brush. Draw straight over your photo Film filters. I've brought in 23 new presets in the style of Kodak, Fuji and Polaroid - across every screen with filters. The most popular ones are now at the top Background Removal is snappier now - the object's outline exports four times faster and now matches the preview pixel for pixel In DuoCam I've added exposure control - swipe up or down on the frame to make it lighter or darker Fixed bugs and crashes: the black preview when opening filters, the crash when undoing an action, and copying/saving an element without its selection frame. Hey! Dropped another fresh update ◕‿◕ Carousels now do video! I've added video slots to the carousel editor — build carousel posts from photos AND videos at once. Plus you can now build carousels by hand and save them as projects — come back and finish whenever you want. And smart slots: drop in several photos at once, and the zoom and frame position get remembered I rebuilt Curved Text almost from scratch — a semicircle and new presets, shapes (including a heart) you can drag with your finger, delete with the little x, and draw your own text on top. It saves as a transparent PNG so you can stick it anywhere Outline got an upgrade — I added new styles: double, gradient, wavy, scalloped, "sketch," and soft glow. Both in Remove Background and in the standalone tool Blur got some love too — now you can paint over things by hand with a brush (handy for faces/plates), plus a new soft glow effect Fixed a ton of bugs and crashes: export in Text on Photo (layers, transparency, out-of-memory crashes), filter loading, slow-motion video export, and memory hogging.
