However, since the app relies on dynamic weather data, there are ongoing server, API, and maintenance costs that make a one-time payment difficult to sustain long-term. The default layout is almost fine, but the hourly forecast displays precipitation percentage rather than temperature (so you must click on the hour to see the temp, such a strange design choice imo). I then tried to make a custom layout with that small change but found that seeing high/lows in the daily forecast is behind a paywall. I like the general design and I would’ve been fine with paying for some extra features (I already pay for another weather app), but some of the some of the design choices seem somewhat malicious which kinda turned me off

weat does the thing most weather apps refuse to. you can read it in 2 seconds. the temperature being the whole interface is the move. nobody opens a weather app to scroll

such clever ways of presenting data clearly and without clutter. i love how simple and still configurable this app is. i very much liked how it came stock, but when i realized that i could modify the sections as i wished, i loved the app that much more; it hides a remarkable depth of options.great developer support and responsiveness. it was an easy decision to support with a subscription and i couldn’t recommend it more
