We used to like Box. But all good will has been destroyed in the past two months by the absolute lack of support to solve very, very serious syncing problems. I have an open ticket with no resolution to my problem. After weeks of asking for more help I have been shunted to a specialist who gives me an unclear set of instructions that I fear will destroy my data. I asked for a phone call but I have received no response in writing or by phone. Very, very disturbing. No amount of pleading will get you a real live person to help you solve syncing problems. We pay monthly for five users but that seems to buy us nothing. Somebody at the very top of this organization isn’t hearing or doesn’t care that their support system is not working! Too bad they used to be a good company.

I used to love this app. It was so easy to share and playback audio projects, work on documents across platforms, and everything else Box is known for. But now the app is very slow and laggy. It has to relaunch and load a doc, even if it’s available offline, if my screen locks for just a few seconds. Then if I’m finished with the app and it’s closed for a few hours, the next time I open it expecting it to go to the main folder, it takes a long time to reload whatever i was viewing the last time and i cannot cancel it until it’s done. I would use the app as a media player very often to review updates on projects, able to stream on the go without needing to sync with iTunes every time, and easily be able to share the same updates with clients. But now the media player is awful in so many ways. Slow, doesn’t automatically playlist, restarts the file whenever you pause or close the app. Really disappointing. Hope the app can be saved or i can find a fix on my end or may have to look out for another option.

I’ve been using Box for about a year now, and it’s really proven itself to be a worthy competitor alongside other cloud storage providers these days. The upload speeds are pretty remarkable, and for the base subscription you get a lot of storage for a reasonable amount of money. For someone who primarily uses the mobile application though, a few feature improvements I could highly recommend would be related to the trash file and profile management. Updating card payment information requires the desktop site, and if you attempt to access it from a mobile browser you have to do a couple of things to bypass auto-opening the app and having to start over again from the browser. The trash file is only accessible on desktop as well, which isn’t the most convenient when you quickly decide that you have something in there that needs to be restored. Overall, happy with the service and quality of this. A few adjustments would only make it more user friendly and appealing overall.

Major fixes needed. Using the camera that is built in to the app is a nightmare. It lags SO much, takes 5 minutes to take 1 picture and that’s if you’re lucky enough for it to even do that. Now I have resorted to taking photos with my phone and upload them through the app. I don’t like doing this because my camera is full of work pictures, instead of instantly uploading to the file. It used to be better, taking pictures through the app but know it is impossible. It also takes forever to upload pictures to the app. Always issues loading files, currently I can’t open any. App is fully updated and it still doesn’t work correctly. Making box notes are annoying now because to make a checklist you have to click all these different buttons and delete and redo the list. The last version was better for this. I wish they would change it backUpdating review on 6/5/26 Newest version of the app is terrible. You can’t see pictures in a folder fully unless you click on them. Makes my job 10x harder not being able to glance at photos in a thumbnail. Every update seems like it just gets worse.
