Contextly 2.0 is the biggest update yet, making it easier to ask, record, summarize, and carry your notes across devices — with privacy built in. Apple Intelligence powers the biggest new experiences. Siri features require iOS 27 / macOS 27, while Ask Contextly and on-device summaries require iOS 26 / macOS 26 on Apple silicon with Apple Intelligence enabled. Siri reads an on-device index rather than sending your notes to Siri servers, and longer requests use Apple’s Private Cloud Compute only when needed on the 27 releases. • Ask Siri about your notes. Ask questions and Siri finds answers from Contextly, shows the source note, and can create, rename, pin, or move notes by voice. • Ask Contextly is here. Ask in plain language and get grounded answers with citations to the exact notes, plus follow-up questions that keep context on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. • Long meetings, fully transcribed. Recordings no longer stop after a minute; on iPhone, transcription continues with the phone locked, with a live timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. • Smarter summaries and action items. Summaries run on-device first; on iOS 27 / macOS 27, longer notes can use Private Cloud Compute instead of failing, with clearer status messages. • Contextly in Shortcuts, Spotlight, and Handoff. Find, create, open, and summarize notes from Shortcuts, search them in Spotlight, and pick up a note between Mac and iPhone. • More reliable, better-formatted notes. Notes keep their size and style across devices, pasted Markdown becomes real formatting on Mac, offline edits are protected, deletions go to Recently Deleted, and attachments sync through iCloud.

Big update with bug fixes and a few new features. New: numbered lists. Start a list with "1." and Return continues it — numbering stays correct even when you insert or remove items. On Mac and iPhone. New: your notebooks, your order — everywhere. Notebook order now syncs across devices, with drag-to-reorder on both platforms. Formatting stays put. Notes no longer change size or style on their own when you open them or edit them on another device. Pasting from a web page or chat now matches your note's font instead of arriving tiny. Your edits are safer. Fixed several cases where edits made offline, checkbox taps from iPhone, deleted attachments, and notebook renames could be reverted or lost when syncing — and a false "edited on another device" warning that could appear while you were simply typing. Recurring meetings fixed. Tapping a repeating event now finds the note for that day's meeting — not one from a previous week. Simpler writing on iPhone. Tap a note and start writing — no more Edit and Save buttons. Everything saves automatically. Today has a New Note button, and switching notebooks is one tap. Mac quality of life. Create notes with one click, capture from anywhere with a configurable keyboard shortcut (Settings → Editor), drag notebooks from anywhere on the row, and a fix for a crash when undoing after switching notes.

Better support for pinned notes. Fixed a bug that immediately went to edit mode when tapping on a note. Fixed a bug that prevented switching todo apps in some cases.

Fixed several bugs that affected whether the correct theme is applied across all tabs and views. Removed the "Rate Contextly" option in the settings tab. If you want to give the app a rating, you'll figure it out without being bothered there! Added a to-do tab to make it easier to select tasks to send to your third-party app of choice.

Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented editing notes on the iPad.
