I’ve really enjoyed playing Game of Thrones: Dragonfire. The graphics are great, the dragon mechanics are fun, and the alliance and kingdom warfare make for an engaging strategy game. It’s one of the better mobile strategy games I’ve played.That said, there’s one major gameplay issue that I hope the developers address. Players occupying an SOP can abuse the Resolve mechanic by sending a march to attack a Resolve-protected opponent and then instantly recalling their march. This allows them to avoid incoming attacks while still reaching and hitting enemy siege marches. Since attacking an SOP is already very difficult, this tactic creates an unfair advantage with very little counterplay. Especially when you can potentially perform that trick 30 times vs an attacking player only having 10 APs for 1 march. Strategy games should reward planning and skill, not exploits that are nearly impossible to counter. I hope the developers review this interaction and make adjustments so that battles are decided by strategy rather than loopholes in the mechanics.Overall, I still think this is a fantastic game and would recommend it, but fixing this issue would make kingdom warfare much more balanced and enjoyable.

Fix chat speed and bugs

It’s a good game, I recommend it. But it is very difficult to chat because it is very laggy. Chat is super slow, a lot of times your messages don’t go through. And then there are some bugs. Stats and fights don’t update so you have to sometimes restart the app. Some other issues is that it is missing some quality of life features. One feature I would like is to save various dragon teams in settings in advance, that way I can deploy them quickly rather than change every dragon and troop every time I need to switch a team. When you see arrow lines going across the map, sometimes you have to scroll forever to find who is traveling because there’s no way to select the airline and instantly see them. If they’re traveling a long distance, this can take forever and you’re really moving your hands which hurts your hands. In the dragon pit, you have to click a button for more information on the dragon, make it default open and leave the button to close it if you want. In the beginning, you progress pretty quickly, but then in the mid game progression gets super slow. You get way less keys and when you open them, you don’t as much good drops like you did when you start the game. I’m sure it’s to hook people onto the game and then slow things down to get people to pay.

You can’t choose where you start, when I started every single high level tile immediately around my stronghold was FACTION OWNED. Meaning, I couldn’t just take the tile as I could if is was an enemy tile. It is virtually impossible to save resources in the spot the game starts you at. You HAVE to relocate, and it charges you gold if you want to rush it. On top of that, my faction has all of the available resources, any time I go after a high level tile, BOOM. Somebody from my faction gets it before I do, because it’s REQUIRED to build your tiles off of your own and your faction mates. On top of that, you need to add a CONTRACT function to the game. I am not about some random people in my faction telling me that they have a “Verbal Agreement with the North”. My faction literally is bullying anyone who is trying to gain territory for us. They won’t help worth anything. You need to actually look through the faction chat and see how many people are telling people to not attack certain tiles because of a verbal agreement with an enemy. (if you are wondering what faction I’m in, it is the Rhaenyra Targaryen faction.) The game is pay to win. You have to pay real money to be able to access legendary dragons, you never get any from the free pulls, that means any gold dragon I have seen, most likely someone spent money on chests, or to get the dragon outright. The only reason I am giving this two stars it is because of the fact you were using the characters and the dragons from the show. Do better, please get your community under control.

I play this game on my tablet. I gave it two stars because of the graphics and gameplay. It’s a great game if only you didn’t have to pay a lot just to enjoy the game. If you find a fun alliance that dominates a faction, it can be fun. Even without paying because you can play the role of pather or support. But some aspects of the game make it hard to have fun without paying. The egg hatching to power up your dragon is fun. But even when you pay a good amount of money, the probability of something meaningful is infinitely small. It’s like gambling. There’s a pity award but it rarely makes a dent in your power compared to others. I’m not saying make it cheap to win, but you made it extremely expensive. To the point where I was willing to pay $5 or $10 here and there until I realized that I get barely anything for it. The egg probability game means you could spend >$100 a month and still feel powerless compared to even upper average players. In the second reign, there was a closed alliance that dominated the faction. As outsiders, we have 0 knowledge of their plans and feel irrelevant. And the two other factions ganged up on us. So >$200 and still weak, irrelevant, lost, no purpose. Maybe if there was a pve mode where you didn’t need to engage in territory grabs, it would have been fun for people that don’t want to deal with social drama while still playing with dragons.
