This is a great game, you literally can play at your own pace. You could either spend money or do it for free and there’s plenty of action for both types of players. Unfortunately, right now I only get a white screen when trying to do the customer service in the game. I used the Discord server to reach out for Help on an issue/bug and received a very rude reply from one of the admin. So that was very disappointing. Hopefully you fix your customer service issues.

The game advertising says it’s not a pay to play… and that’s not totally true. Sure, people can’t immediately farm you for all the resources you just purchased like other games. But there’s a lot of hidden metrics within events that prioritize outside scoring mechanics to determine things like tiebreakers and fraction scoring. For instance, there’s a current event going on called Dawn of Rome, and even though my guild was the most prosperous out of 56 guilds across nine fractions and two servers, we came in third rather than first because an outside mechanic for guild Prosperity mattered more than actual strategy and point gathering in the event… so when they say they’re not pay to play… eh… sure maybe people can’t farm you out of the stuff you just bought… but building prosperity outside of an event quickly is done through a credit card. So in a essence it is a pay to play, especially since they’re not being honest about how the mechanics actually work. So knowing this, and you do play, just know while it’s a fun game just be cautious of spending for bundles during game events thinking over performance will matter, because it won’t, and all you did was give them micro transaction money for no reason. They aren’t transparent about this. I had to go to customer service and I don’t think they’re gonna change it because they’re going to prioritize the whales over everybody else and everybody else on the servers are just Cannon fodder. So it’s not pay to play in the traditional sense, but it certainly is in the under the hood mechanics. There’s a lot of things to like about the game, but if you don’t spend money, it doesn’t matter. None of your strategy, teamwork, or hard work will matter over someone else’s credit card.

I have been playing the game since it released. It is fun, I like the historical figures/facts and the imagery. It was really engaging at first and I was constantly moving on up in the game. Now I’m at level 143 and progress is sloooow, I have to wait 12+ hours to for research to finish, energy to top up in the theater, or to get enough to gold maybe level up 3-4 characters a day max. If you want to obtain any new characters during an event you HAVE to pay. You will not get enough shards to summon them by simply logging in and playing normally. There is currently no way to get characters, goddesses, or skins you miss during the events. If you want to be on top of the leaderboard good luck. You’re competing with people who have easily spent a couple hundred and have extra resources and power as a result. Free boosts also require watching way too many ads and popups to top up are relentless. Much room for improvement.

If you’ve ever played Kingshot or Whiteout Survival this game is basically that in a different font. I do really like the theme, graphics, and writing but the game barrages you with all the features and mechanics very early on and it’s pretty overwhelming, and then suddenly it grinds to a painful halt and the only way to make any more progress is to dump money into it or to do a long slow grind. It was fun for a couple of days, though. I think some tweaks to the pacing could make this game really fun for a long time!I also kept getting private messages from what felt like bots or employees sending me random messages or asking me where I’m from. My server was already pretty dead, but it made me curious how much of the little traffic I was seeing was organic.
