What we love: Starting a feeding frenzy. Drag your finger to drop food in the water and watch fish dart around to gobble it up. It’s a great way to speed up their natural growth; just don’t forget the shrimp and snails at the bottom of the tank!

Quick tip: Weigh a fish’s sell price against its passive earnings. Rare golden and rainbow variants of common fish sell for more than they’d earn in weeks of idle income, but species like the elephant fish earn several times more per day than their sell value. Keep those moneymakers around.
