Your QRV Account - Sign in with Apple, Google or an email link in Settings > Account. Your favorites, frequency memories, settings and Callsign, DXCC and DXpedition alerts follow you to every device on the account. - Your Apple devices already share an account through iCloud with nothing to set up. The Account screen says so, and offers to join a device that isn't on it yet. - Add a second way to sign in to the same account. Signing in with a different account asks before moving the device, and nothing is deleted. - Sign Out removes this device from the account; Sign Out Other Devices removes every other device and ends every session — for a phone that's gone missing. - Your Devices lists every device on the account by model name, with when it was last active. - Delete everything now also asks Apple to forget your Sign in with Apple. - First-run setup ends with a Your QRV Account section — optional. The Restore from iCloud card is gone: a new Apple device joins your account by itself. - Sign in with email now sends QRV's own message, in your language, with a link and an 8-character code. Type the code into QRV if the link doesn't open the app. Sync - Favorites, frequency memories and preferences now sync through the QRV server rather than iCloud alone. Sync this device pauses one device and catches up when switched back on. - Four new Help articles explain how the account works, what syncs, signing out, and deleting everything. Settings - Settings is reorganized to better match how operators are using QRV. - Lightning Alerts sits in its own section — switching notifications off has never silenced lightning, but nothing on screen said so. The rest is now headed Activity Notifications. - The Reset Notifications button is gone; its repair job now happens by itself every time QRV launches. Logbooks - A QRZ logbook added while another was syncing now downloads right away, and removing a logbook mid-sync no longer risks misfiling contacts. - Connected QRZ and Wavelog logbooks re-read in full every seven days, so a QSO confirmed on LoTW months later no longer reads as unconfirmed forever. - The QRZ row in Settings now warns when one of your logbooks has stopped syncing. Alerts - Lightning Alerts now says whether it needs your location or a grid square, instead of showing On before anything was registered. - When the server refuses an alert — the 20-alert limit, or an ended DXpedition — the warning keys off the error code, so it keeps working if the wording changes. Also Improved - The Current Grid Square card shows the square's centre, its outline on the map, and whether the grid came from Rover Mode or was set by hand. - The US band plan now shows all modes permitted on 2200m and 630m (47 CFR 97.305). - SOTA Spots is hidden for now while the SOTA feed is switched off on the server.

Multiple QRZ Logbooks - Add every QRZ logbook you own — for example, your previous callsign's logbook after a callsign change — and QRV merges their QSOs into lookups and alert auto-management. - QSO History notes which of your callsigns worked each contact when your logbooks or Wavelog stations span more than one call. Callsign Lookup - A slow or unreachable lookup service no longer holds up every search — once a good answer is in hand, QRV shows it instead of waiting out the full timeout. - Your QRZ password is no longer part of the web address when signing in, so it can't end up in server logs. - Lookups no longer drop the start of accented names (Müller showed as üller). DXpeditions - A DXpedition that has gone quiet now reads "Likely Ended" instead of staying In Progress until its published end date. - DXpedition dates are labelled as UTC days, and the Start and End dates now show the correct UTC day — in the Americas they could read one day early. Alerts - Clearing every band in Band Alerts no longer silently disables your DXCC, DXpedition and Callsign alerts. - Reinstalling QRV or setting up a new device now restores your band alert settings alongside the alerts that already came back. Your Language - Dates follow your language's own conventions instead of American field order — a German device reads 28. Aug., 20:12 where it used to read Aug 28, 8:12 PM. - UTC clocks stay on the Gregorian calendar whatever calendar your device is set to. Also Improved - The UTC clock now appears on the Lookup and Reference tabs too. - Band Conditions recognizes the full nine-level geomagnetic scale, and an unrecognized value never reads as calm. - Live Spots keeps showing activity when PSK Reporter goes down, falling back to Reverse Beacon Network spots.

Band Plans - Olá, Portugal! The Portuguese band plan has been added, bringing band plans to 22 countries. Every ANACOM licence category is included, with notes and band names in English and Portuguese.

Frequency Memory Bank - Frequencies below 3 MHz or above 3 GHz couldn't be saved at all — 160 meters, 630 meters, 2200 meters and the microwave bands were all rejected as invalid. The memory bank now accepts anything from 1 Hz to 300 GHz. - Frequencies below 1 MHz now read in kHz. - The band filter gains an LF/MF option and now uses the same spectrum names as the Band Plans screen. - A saved 2200 or 630 meter frequency now names its band instead of showing a dash. DXpeditions - The In Progress count and the list below it now agree. A DXpedition that started early, ran long, or went quiet could show an In Progress badge and still be missing from the In Progress list. Band Plans and Entities - United Kingdom: 2200 meters is available at every licence level, not Full only. 23cm is Full and Intermediate only. Power limits corrected on 160 meters, 30 meters, 70cm and 23cm. Thanks to 2E1GW who reported these. - The Maldives now shows as Asia rather than Africa. Your Language - In German and Dutch, a running DXpedition and a DXCC entity with recent activity both read "Aktiv" and "Actief" — in the same filter row, which made the counts look like a contradiction. A running DXpedition now reads "Läuft" and "Lopend". - SOTA summits showed their score and altitude in English in every language. - VoiceOver descriptions of the antenna diagrams and Live Spots rows were partly English on translated devices. Also Fixed - A footer on the lookup screen said QRZ where it meant QRV.

Your Language - If you use QRV in German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Dutch, this release is largely for you. Screens that were partly English are now translated — the Reference tab and its calculators, onboarding, Settings and server status, Live Spots filters, band conditions, and the VHF/UHF repeater offset badges. - Numbers everywhere now respect the comma-decimal difference between locales and languages. - Saved frequency memories should work better for users in comma-locales. - Error messages from QRZ, QRZ Logbook, HamQTH, Wavelog, and the solar service are translated and reworded with more user-friendly language. Band Plans by License Class - Choose your license class and each band plan marks which segments you're actually allowed to use. - "Hide bands I can't use" drops the rest from the list entirely. - Band diagrams still show the full allocation, with your own privileges listed on each band. Band Plan Corrections - Mexico no longer offers a license class filter. Mexico issues a single license with no classes, and the 2200m, 630m, and 23cm bands have been added. - Netherlands: 6 meters now shows the full 50.0–52.0 MHz, and the CW/SSB-only restriction is gone. - Germany: 2200 and 630 meters have been added for Klasse A. - Norway: 12 meters now includes the national extension down to 24.740 MHz. Propagation Compass - The compass follows your heading again instead of staying locked north-up. - It now corrects for magnetic declination, so the rose points to true north rather than magnetic north. - The compass always says what the rose is referenced to — true north, magnetic north, waiting for a reading, or needing calibration. - When a reading goes bad, the rose returns to north-up rather than freezing on the last bearing. Bug Fixes - Negative latitudes and longitudes can be entered on iPhone. The number pad has no minus key, which left the coordinate lookup unusable across the Americas and the whole southern hemisphere. - Tapping the Band Conditions widget opens Band Conditions instead of Live Spots. - Removed the "X DXpeditions on the air" line, which counted whatever the selected filter showed rather than what was actually on the air.

Premium Access - Fixed a bug where premium access could be lost by mistake — most often right after an app update, or after restoring from a backup. QRV now confirms your purchase with the App Store instead of assuming the worst when it gets no answer. - Applies to Lifetime, monthly, and annual plans, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. - Push alerts resume as soon as access is restored, instead of waiting for the next launch. - Restore Purchases now tells you when it couldn't reach the App Store, instead of reporting that you never bought anything. Free Trial - Settings now shows your trial status and end date while the trial is running. - A dismissible reminder appears in Live Spots during the final days, so access doesn't simply disappear one morning. - When the trial does end, QRV explains that your trial finished instead of showing the subscribe screen with no explanation.

2 Meters and 4 Meters - Live Spots now tracks 2 meters and 4 meters alongside the HF bands. - Band and DXCC alerts can be set for 2m and 4m too. - 4 meters is a Region 1 band, so expect it to stay quiet outside Europe. Mute a Single Storm - Lightning notifications now offer "Mute This Storm" — once your antennas are disconnected, you stop being pinged about the storm you already acted on. - The mute lifts on its own when the storm passes, so the next storm still reaches you. If this storm gets closer while muted, you will get one more warning. - Lightning notifications no longer offer Mute Indefinitely, which silenced every alert type at once. - Muting all notifications no longer silences Lightning Alerts. Apple Watch - The Watch now checks your subscription with Apple directly instead of waiting on your iPhone, so it no longer shows the subscribe screen to a subscriber whose Watch hasn't synced yet. - The free trial now unlocks the Watch app. - The subscribe screen has a Restore button if the Watch still needs a nudge. Bug Fixes - Live Spots frequencies read correctly in MHz — 14.075 MHz, not 14075.322 MHz. The same fix applies to Lookup, DXCC, and DXpedition. - 60 meter spots outside 5300-5400 kHz were being discarded before they reached the app, including the UK and European segments and the US 5405 kHz channel — roughly one in seven 60m spots. - Fixed a rare case where alerts might disappear when using 2 devices. - POTA and SOTA activations on 70 centimeters showed their band as 0m, and the POTA band filter was missing 2 meters. - QSOs on 70cm, 23cm, and 1.25m no longer change position between logbook views. - Settings no longer shows Monthly to Lifetime subscribers after a cold launch.

Bug Fixes - Fixed a rare freeze when returning to Live Spots on a busy band after the app had been in the background for a long time. - Live Spots now scrolls and re-sorts more smoothly when a band has thousands of spots.

Filter by Multiple Modes - Pick any combination of FT8, FT4, CW, RTTY, and Other in Live Spots. - Strong signals is now its own toggle, so you can combine it with any mode selection. Distance on Live Spots - Spot rows now show how far away the other station is, in your preferred miles or kilometers. - Sort the spot list by time, distance, frequency, or signal strength. - A new distance range filter lets you target specific distances from your QTH. Your Grid Square, Front and Center - Onboarding now offers a choice: use your location, or type in your grid square — no detour through Settings. - Rover Mode naming has been tidied up, and the Rover screen shows exactly what follows your grid and when it ends. Faster Alert Sync - Add, change, or delete an alert on one device, and your other devices will pick it up within seconds. Apple Watch - A location-off icon makes clear when you're seeing a saved grid, and the app wakes the GPS less often to reduce battery use. Bug Fixes - Alerts for DXpeditions that have ended no longer retry forever in the background. - Rover Mode no longer claims a manually set grid will expire on its own.

Use QRV without location access Location & Grid Squares - Set your grid square by hand in Settings, without granting location access at all. - Notifications no longer need location access — a grid you set by hand is enough to turn them on. - A grid you set by hand no longer expires when there's no GPS to fall back to, so your spots and alerts keep running. - The Maidenhead calculator now shows a grid you set by hand instead of reporting it as unknown. Faster, more reliable alerts and favorites Alerts & Favorites - Removing a callsign from Favorites now offers to delete its alert too (when present). - Changes to your callsign, DXCC, and DXpedition alerts now reach your other devices more quickly. - Deleting an alert now reliably removes it everywhere, even if you delete it right after creating it. - Removing a favorite now sticks across your devices instead of occasionally reappearing after an iCloud sync. - Alerts you add or change save more reliably even when you make several changes in quick succession. Bonjour! QRV now speaks French French Localization - French is QRV's sixth language — the full app, the in-app Help, and push notifications. - Set your iPhone to French, or choose French just for QRV in the Settings app. - The Canada band plan gains a Français toggle alongside its English text. Aurora in Band Conditions - When an aurora is active, Band Conditions shows its strength and how far south the oval reaches. - Bad news for HF, good news for 6 m and 2 m aurora work — so it's presented neutrally. Band Plans - Updated the Hungary, Finland, Iceland, France, and Denmark band plans to their latest regulations — including Hungary's February 2026 rule change and Iceland's renewed 2026 authorizations.
