My two main areas of expertise are in Employment Law and Data Privacy. I have led research projects in privacy auditing, extraterritorial application of data privacy laws, jurisdiction of employment laws, and the theoretical basis of data privacy laws including their regulatory setting. I have supervised students studying BCom(Hons) and LLB(Hons) and PhD in Commercial Law.
My teaching is in the areas of Employment Law and Data Privacy. I am the primary architect of the Master of Information Governance (MInfoGov) which commenced in 2021. I taught the initial course for the inaugural cohort in this programme.
I am a member of the Asian Privacy Scholars Network (APSN) and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). I am an Enrolled Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
