Alison Purvis

Alison Purvis is Associate Dean for Learning, Teaching and Student Success at Sheffield Hallam University. She is a physiologist whose research has focused on human thermoregulation, heat stress and exercise physiology, alongside higher education leadership, digital education and scholarly publishing. Her work spans the physiological responses to heat, measurement of body temperature and cooling strategies, as well as teaching, learning and culture in higher education.
