Amber Williams

I am a PhD researcher studying molecular biology at Cardiff University, specifically exploring plant epigenetics and investigating how salt stress reshapes root cell behaviour in Arabidopsis thaliana via confocal imaging and single‑cell genomic approaches. I am responsible for designing and managing complex experiments, integrating transcriptomic and epigenomic data, and using R and Python to analyse and visualise large biological datasets.

Previously, I have completed an MSc in Biotechnology at the University of Glasgow and a BSc in Biochemistry at Cardiff University, gaining experience in plant biotechnology, genome editing and molecular biology. I’ve also had experience working as a QC analyst in regulated GMP laboratory environments, which has strengthened my attention to detail, problem‑solving and data integrity.
