Andrew Novak is term assistant professor of Criminology, Law, and Society at George Mason University, where he teaches courses on international law and human rights. He has also taught African law at American University Washington College of Law.
His research interests are primarily in the areas of comparative law, comparative constitutional law, and the death penalty, with a specific concentration in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is the author of The Global Decline of the Mandatory Death Penalty, Comparative Executive Clemency, and The African Challenge to Global Death Penalty Abolition.
