Anna Potter

Anna Potter is a researcher focusing on children’s television, Australian television drama, and media and communication policy. In 2015 Anna was awarded an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) for her project entitled 'International Transformation in Children's Television 2013–2018'. Anna is currently Chief Investigator with Amanda Lotz and Kevin Sanson on the ARC Discovery Projects 'Making Australian Television in the 21st Century' 2020-2024 and 'Understanding Twenty-First Century Media Uses and Purposes' (2024-27). Her latest book 'Lost Culture, the Unravelling of Cultural Policy and National Drama in the On-Demand Age' was published in September 2025.
