Ashika Niraula

Ashika Niraula is a Senior Research Associate at the Global Migration Institute at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has over 15 years of interdisciplinary experience as a researcher and development practitioner. Her research focuses on global migration, migrants’ decision-making, and their integration and settlement experiences. She examines migration drivers, labor market transitions, migrant agency, and well-being, with particular attention to deskilling and social and legal inequalities in destination countries, including Canada and Denmark. Ashika is committed to advancing evidence-informed migration policy through research, collaboration, and community engagement.
