Ashley Bosa

My research has focused on two main areas: monitoring volcanic mudflows (lahars) and understanding their flow dynamics, and examining how emergency managers and response teams make real-time evacuation and communication decisions during wildfires and other natural hazards. The volcano research aims to enhance early warning systems for lahars through seismic and infrasound data, while the behavioral study seeks to identify key decision triggers for emergency teams when informing and messaging the public about evacuation protocols.
