Bekalu Wachiso Gichamo

I am a senior lecturer and researcher at Wolkite University. My research interest is in Indigenous Knowledge, State-Society Relations, Conflict Studies and Interethnic Relations. I have actively contributed to the academic discourse as a published researcher and validated peer reviewer, striving to bridge the gap between theory and practice. My professional and community service engagements have provided invaluable first-hand experience. I have volunteered with local and international organisations on projects focusing on refugee support, disaster relief, and community empowerment. Furthermore, I have actively participated in research projects and community programs addressing critical issues such as conflict-induced migration, internal displacement, grassroots peace advocacy, and crisis management.
