My lab is interested in the intersection of opioids and cannabinoids in the context of pain management and substance use disorder. Specifically, I am interested in how cannabinoids may or may not be used to treat chronic pain in conjunction with opioids, and the associated addiction risk. We use whole animal pharmacology, viral methods, modern imaging techniques, and biochemical approaches.
