Bryce Young

Bryce is a graduate student at the University of Montana and a Spatial Wildfire Analyst at Pyrologix. As an sUAS pilot and a specialist in wildfire risk mitigation, he brings a wealth of experience to his work. Since 2013, Bryce has worked in various roles within the wildfire space, including as a firefighter, contractor, and researcher.

His extensive hands-on experience has influenced his work with the National Center for Landscape Fire Analysis, where he explores novel methods for measuring the fuels that make up the wildland-urban interface. These methods blend LiDAR, photogrammetry, satellite imagery, GIS, property records, computer vision and machine learning.
