Camilla Elphick

Camilla has a phd in psychology from the University of Sussex, investigating pupillary responses to faces as a measure of implicit recognition. This novel method was developed as a means to improving eyewitness identification procedures.

She was recently employed as a researcher, where she helped to create and test an Artificial Intelligence reporting tool for people to report workplace harassment and discrimination.

She currently works as a post doctoral research associate at the Open University for a Citizen Forensics project, investigating citizen-police digital communication.

She has also launched the first psychological research into Wiedermann-Steiner Syndrome, which has only recently been genetically identified. Her newly formed lab group aims to identify a behavioural phenotype and to spread awareness about the syndrome.

Her research interests thus lie mainly in the application of psychology to make positive changes to 'real world' issues.
